Fanfic: Diary Of A Knight,
(A Diary Styled Fanfic about a new knight in the Spiral Knights training)
Day 1: Beginning the mission
I joined this program called Spiral Knights training, They gave me armor and a weapon. I have no idea why i need it, but i want to be a spiral knight!
1:00 PM, 2 hours later
We crash landed on a strange planet, they warned me not to go to haven alone. I made a new friend, her name is Javanganza.
1:05 PM, 5 minutes later.
Why do these knights have all these strange names? I met a female knight named Rhonda, i think I'm in love.
2:00 PM, 55 minutes later.
Im stuck in the clockworks, Javanganza left me, Im stuck fighting off these monsters. Help!!!
(Comment and Reply if you want more of the diary)

The elderly knight leaned back in his chair as the young biographer sat down to take notes. "You ready, young man?" Kazookia inquired. He nodded, and the old knight began his tale.
__________
A long, long time ago, when I was...oh, around 18 years old or so, I joined the Spiral Knights Training program. I'd grown bored of civilian life, and I have to tell you, I wasn't disappointed! Right off the bat, I got a full suit of armor and a real live weapon! You have to believe I was crazy-excited about that. Honestly, there's no better feeling in the world than knowing you've got a powerful weapon in your hand and tough armor that can take you anywhere. Man, those were the days...
Ahem. Where was I? Yes, the Crash of course. No? Meh, it doesn't matter. I'll start wherever the heck I want to. The crash was pretty traumatic, I can tell you. All these red lights blazing and sirens blaring, I was sure we were gonna die. It didn't help that the gravity cut out. Man, that has *got* to be the scariest day of my life! You better believe I darted for the escape pod faster than a horny hare. When I hit ground several minutes later, I was greeted...not by wild beasts, but by a lovely young girl named Javaganza. We were instant friends, you know. I still talk to her sometimes to this day.
You remember Haven, boy? You know, that dusty old place on Cradle populated by Strangers? That one. That was where we had to go for refuge back in the day. I went there too. And when I got there, I met the most *beautiful* girl I'd ever seen, named Rhonda. Oh my goodness, that woman had an incredible body, and she sure knew how to wield it like a well-sharpened blade! Gotta tell you man, it was love at first sight. Love at first sight, yeah. Beautiful...
...Did I just- yeah, I did fall asleep. Sorry about that. *Ahem.* The three of us went down into the Clockworks to check out this "Snarbolax" thing, and whaddya know, that doggone Javaganza had the nerve to leave us right in the middle of a fight! Vog-dang woman. We've since made up, you understand, but in that moment, I was sure I was gonna kill her dead. But the wolves that were chomping down on my foot were a higher priority for my bullets, and me and Rhonda were running outta ammo mighty-quick. We high-tailed it outta there and called for backup, and...
*snore*
(The diary does change over time)
I sighed as my journal was gone, Then the knights came back to me with my journal. I gulped as i began writing down the events of the 2nd day.
Day 2: Diary of a 2nd knight
Tuesday, 5:00 AM
Why did they make me gone in here, the blades of the fallen cover the ground, the blood of the fallen is everywhere. HELP! My fellow knights are dead, i crawl to the grave and inspect, and the trojans came alive. Dodging them, i accidentally got hit in the head by a axe, i found myself in a glowing aura ball. I screamed for a emergency revive, then i found a revival in my pocket. Using it i found myself back in haven.
"Knights wheres my 2nd page?" I asked questionably drawing my sword.
Meanwhile...
Day 2: Diary of a new knight,

-Past-
Blood dripped on my journal, a Demonite impaled my arm with a gigantic stick. Only God can save me now, When i saw that knight come in- Rhonda, That amazing knight...
-10 years after Day 3-
Rhonda came in, she looked so amazing in that gown.. We walked up the Aisle. Both saying "I Do." We had 3 amazing little kids we played all the time with. We kept playing together until that one day...
This seems to be a good object-lesson about first-person writing. Realistic-looking diaries aren't particularly interesting to look at, as they simply contain summaries of information, rather than minute details about every feeling and intermediate action that ever crossed your mind.
The story might be better-served if the character is looking back on his/her adventure and is remembering in great detail (or with artistic liberties) what happened.
