I was playing Spiral Knights earlier. I was doing the "Shroud of Apocrea" event. And when I got a good look at the Apocrean Harvester, I noticed he shared some similar traits with the Strangers. Tall, long arms, slumped over, masks... I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this but I figured it's worth discussing. What do you think? Do you think it's possible that the Apocrean Harvester is a stranger?

That's similar to what I thought. My theory is that it could be a stranger who was either cursed OR a stranger who somehow acquired unnatural powers and misused them. Perhaps there is something the strangers know that we do not?

How else does he restock on all his recipes? He steals the souls of people who abuse those weapons so horribly. He also has another form of taking souls. It's called "Grind FSC for ten days to get cash then go speed running past the Arcade avoiding all the NOT FSC stuff until I cry when Basil doesn't have my recipe."

Strange you bring up the mask thing
I always thought the harvester wasn't wearing a mask. For all we know, the strangers could all be Apocreans that wear those masks to hide their three glowing eyes.

Along with what Fangel said, maybe they all take turns stealing souls each year. This year, it's Basil. I'd say he enjoys it a bit too much.

I bet it's some type of cursed stranger like Vanaduke or Margrel.
