Sup! So I figured out that you can break out of freeze using an FoV charge recently, which is pretty handy. Which brings me to another question:

Can the FoV self fire be used to prevent freeze? For example:

If you are in chaos in LD, and you FoV charge and light yourself on fire, will you be immune to shivermist for that duration?
If you are doing ice queen, will the FoV fire make you immune to a silversap freeze?

These two questions test the strength of the status. I would be interested to find out if a strong fire overrules a weak freeze (FoV vs shivermist), and if a strong status overrules another strong status , or if it gets replaces ( FoV vs Silversap) >or glacius charge in LD

Random, suicidal, and probably not very useful since every health bar counts in LD, but im curious. Thanks for checking it out, i bet someone here knows! Happy burning :)

FoV self-fire will prevent

FoV self-fire will prevent being frozen by shivermist. It is strong fire, which takes precedence over Shivermist's weak freeze. It will not prevent Silversap freezes, because those are strong freeze. Thus the statuses will swap.

Basically what Malsvir-Branea said. When two status' that cancel eachother out are mixed together, the higher status wins, and if the status' are even then they get swapped.

In this case, it's impossible to use Fang of Vog's fire to negate a Silversap's freeze, as both do the Strong status, however you could light yourself on fire after getting frozen.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

I've done this before while I was in the middle of a shiver-lock.

It was hilarious.

Although, it should be noted that to do this you do need to light yourself on fire, and if it's FoV strong fire in a Chaos set you're almost better off getting hit to break the freeze.

Akes sense. So use FoV charge

Akes sense. So use FoV charge only if a person is about to violate you with a brandish charge...good advice
