It does, knights are heavily deformed humans. At least, one could say that. Knights aren't human but what would they be based upon if not homo sapiens?

It's also worth noting, the color in the promo images is adjusted rather significantly from the actual stuff. Toasty stuff is actually dark brown, not goldish-tan.

I think you need to go back and look at quite a few armor sets Spiral Knights currently has.
