Once upon a time, Vog sets were common and Skolvers were rare and DA was the best elemental sword.
Vog Cub sets were rare? Ha. Must not have been around all that long. Even mah great grandpappy used a Vog Cub Coat to keep'im warm durin' the war 'gainst Bananaduck. Until people discovered Shiv+Blitz, alls we hads was our DAs and APs. I was the little hipster youngin who waltzed around with a Boltbrand. "My sword will be the best! You'll see!"
Months later, Brandishes got hyper buffed. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
Pepperidge farms remembers.
I know how to farm orbs now, but what does it mean to farm "remembers"? And how does Pepperidge do it?
Truth:
Hipsters don't exist.
You know what I miss?
When I was still in Primary school. Those were the good days.
I remember when Vog Cub and Skolver recipes at Basil meant you were gonna be loaded, assuming you had enough to buy 'em, haha.
but yeah my boyfriend's very first set was Vog Cub and he managed to get it in the first two weeks the game was up, so, idk if it was all that rare. He researched and figured it would be the best for FSC, and sure enough, at the time, it certainly was. :'3
@Bopp
It has to do with advertising and that cultivation theory XD
oh oh oh, remember when before Blitz Needles were cool?
I think that's the biggest piece of SK hipster cred I have.
I still vaguely remember when the Roarmulus Twins were introduced. I must have just gotten tier 2 clearance though, I beat them before the Royal Jelly, but I remember being excited by the new token rewards. That's probably the earliest "event" that I was registered for. I joined june 14, 2011. First came the new boss, I think missions were after that, then pvp, then homecoming (guild halls!), then finally the whole Energy/Forge/Sprite update. Those are the major ones anyway.
I remember when there were only four 5* brandishes and they all sucked compared to the DA and GF because two (sometimes three) charge blasts instead of five.
I remember when Hallow stuff didn't exist.
I remember when round shades were among the rarest accessories in the game.
I remember when I saw only one person in the entire game with a Wolver Tail.
I remember when the Supply Depot didn't ruin the prices of accessories (though the increased availability is nice).
I remember when I got 60/60.
But Pepperidge Farm doesn't remember these things.

I don't agree, and my recollection is that the forums didn't agree with you either. Even before the Brandish charge buff, Brandishes were considered comparable in power to DA/GF, just because they charged faster, let you run faster, etc. The buff made them clearly more powerful than DA/GF. More recent developments such as compounds have made DA/GF slightly more attractive than they used to be, but still far behind the buffed Brandishes.
1.) When monster damages got reworked and Slimes learned how to use Piercing.
2.) When the Snarbolax was added.
When the game was sandbox not theme park.
Remember when the gunslinger sets were rare.................and they still are.
I actually see quite a bit of diversity within the gear people use. I think the problem with most armor pieces is that they all do the same thing rather than that they're all really so imbalanced. Like, there is very little reason for me to branch out and the armors are just boring. There are a huge number of exceptions of course, where things like bombastic, plate, most damage vs X armors, most things that don't have fire/shock resist, you know... just don't work.
But gunner armor is quite poor, with the exception of seerus which is stupidly strong compared to your average armor piece. None of them have worthwhile resistances, and they all have higher normal defense than specialized, which is problematic when you're dealing the bulk of your damage from far behind the front lines. Deadshot is half decent, but falls a bit short because crusaders aren't actually considered undead and ufsc is half fire themed. But that's really a problem with the game more than the armor design- that poison/ice/stun/curse are not worth making a fuss about compared to shock/fire.
oh oh oh, remember when before Blitz Needles were cool?
man, I made Blitz AND Chaos because I was like, gonna be so hipster with my heavy weapon set (troika/needle line). I wanted to believe in blitz's potential somewhere just like I believed in my Khorovod's potential with charge, so I had bought a CTR med autogun for like 8k at AH. I mean, blitz is such a slow weapon, who would use the charge?
I mean, everyone was using Callahan and AP for Vanaduke.
AND THEN THEY BUFFED THEM (Blitz, Chaos).
:;
btw, lol @ today's magnus-line hipsters. Just you wait.
It was so much fun when your HP was on the bottom of the screen, and you could count the pips of your party... (Let's make a suggestion for this! :])
I remember how sad I felt when the first gunner and bomb update came out where the damage of all bombs and guns were buffed by 20%, but that AP and Setenza were ruined, because they no longer did split pierce and elemental damage, and pierce and shadow damage respectively. Never the same again.
I also remember the promo pic for the dragon wings update, one of the knights was in a Snarbolax suit wearing shadow dragon wings.
I remember when getting hit while charging stopped your charging completely. And the times people just spam blasted wasted ce for revives when the team was full on health.
We should go back to the way things were in 2011. With the old ui, mist, and that not broken mini game called super brawl. With no updates whatsoever. I'm sure asking to devolve a game on it's forums that has evolved is the best way to do it.
And if you didn't understand that this was sarcasm the whole time, then you need to definitely go outside more.
@Xears
Ruined? No one used sentenza before that update, and aftwards they were all over it! It was awful at fighting beasts compared to even the magnus lines. Argent was worse off for Vanaduke, but that was about it. Being able to use it effectively against constructs was a blessing.
Khomie at Post 17 wins.
(Even if I don't entirely like the spirit of some of those, it's still funny.)
EDIT: Blazzberry, how was Super Brawl not broken? It would be far more broken with today's gear. That's what breaks LD.
Of course, the two year wait was (is) somewhat ridiculous (and I have definitely felt the salt flow as I had scurried to make a Callahan only to have the first gun I ever made collect dust in my inventory.)
Why, callahan is great fun.
In fact, there's even a video called Callahan Fun !
While the whole video is great, I especially recommend the last two minutes starting around 5:00 lol.
A lot of weapons' potentials for fun and/or power really shine with group use (I'm imagining catalyzers as part of this as well).
Anyone else remember when there was no AH?
Remember a time when there where more OOO than sega..
Remember a time where There was More adventures than costumes....
Remember a time when the Arts where unique.....
Remember a time when we still had adventure with a hint of mystery.......
Remember a time where there was no Shame.....
Remember A time where there was Journeys and no farming runs....
Remember A time when those memory's weren't Memorys at all......
Remember a time when people knew the difference between "where" and "were"?
@Batabii
Honestly I wish there actually was a time like that. Would be so nice........ I would live there.
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
