Fractured Mask + Chaos Cloak Viability?

Hey there, Bossbane here.

As the title implies -- would a Fractured Mask (AKA, the level 1 seerus mask) and a chaos cloak work okay together? It is the CTR from both that I am after, as well as the surprisingly good status resist for shock and fire that the mask has that makes me consider this at all -- it would actually leave them a bar in the positive when paired with the chaos cloak. Only, your defence would be highly questionable in 5 star, but, then again, aren't we supposed to play it close to the cuff as gunners? Especially if we have a good shield to make up for it?

Considering the mask works identically to Perfect Mask of Seerus other than physical defense, it would be perfectly viable.

But, since it would take a LONG time to get enough money for a Perfect Mask, could I, if I was careful enough, use it until the time being? I guess what I am asking is whether or not I will get one shot-ed in tier 3.

You most certainly won't get one-shot, and since a gunner tends to keep the distance you could very easily use the 1* Mask until you have access to Perfect Mask of Seerus.

But you probably shouldn't bank on your tanking abilities while wearing it.

Ha ha, trust me, I don't!

Ha ha, trust me, I don't! With the shield bash and dash though, I have been bobbing and weaving like a pro B-| For the next matter then, if I were to do this, what would synergize most with this strange set up? The volcanic pepperbox maybe, as it's the most defensive of the autoguns? Or the Prisma/Umbra Drivers?

Yes. I use your setup (perfect mask + chaos) often, and drivers, autoguns and catalyzers work best with it. Other guns work well, provided you can use their charges.
