A handful of these threads have been cropping up lately...thought I'd try my hand at one.
As it stands, Heart Attack is the least noticeable SS. (Sprite Skill) If a heart was ALREADY going to drop from that foe, then you would get...what? Another heart? No extra hearts? And at lower levels, you can never know if it even worked or not. Not to mention the fact that the ultimates suck.
A few changes:
- Extra Hearty determines the size of dropped hearts, rather than chance. (Drop chance is the same as a current maxed Heart Attack.) The new Heart Attack would work as follows:
- Unleveled: Dropped hearts are usually small, but are rarely medium
- Level 1: Dropped hearts are rarely small, usually medium, and rarely large
- Level 2: Dropped hearts have a equal chance of being medium and large, and are very rarely small
- Level 3: Dropped hearts are usually large, sometimes medium, and never small
(As a note, this is tier INDEPENDENT. Heart Attack will create large hearts in Tier 1!)
- Violent Heart Attack would have a good chance of dealing strong Stun.
- Iron Heart Attack would give a new type of orb: the Status Resistance Orb. This orb will give you resistance to all moderate statuses for 15 seconds, not stacking. This doesn't give damage defense, but will stack with regular Damage Defense Orbs. No, Status Resistance Orbs do not drop any other way.

The thing is that it would make it quite extremely OP in T1... I can't remember what's the base health of T1, but.... Imbalance is okay I suppose. PvE should be fun and imbalanced at times. ... actually now that I think again... this probably buffs it to the point that hearts are being wasted.
-Does VHA still have damage? or is it just stun? Will it include staggering enemies?
-Is the moderate status resistant a threshold defense? or will it also affect strong statuses? (status potency has to overcome a threshold value, or generally added status resist)
So these new orbs act like the buff orbs... hmm.
I personally believe that Seraphynx skills should be changed around a bit so that they are actually about defense... They seem to be more about speeding up a run via being less careful. ie. get hurt and whatever (and use Heart Attack), kill enemies faster(both Ray ultimates), go lone wolf(Shield doesn't really help teammates when it's so mobile and I've heard it breaks pretty easily)
