How do you get a profile picture in the forums?

I've noticed that almost everyone else in the forums has one. Is it a seniority thing? Or can you guys see it but I can't? What's up with profile pictures and why can't I get one?

It is definitely a seniority thing. Only the senior most forum goers, who can find the forum preferences button and navigate the tricky menus, utilizing search engines such as Google, are allowed access to forum avatars.
