Ways to prevent Vanaduke spawn mobs?

Overheard this conversation about how you can prevent Vanaduke spawn mobs by aggro it before it hit the floor with mace to spawn mobs.

But they say its interval is too short & fast that you can hardly aggro it in right time.

I know that Vanaduke spawn mobs randomly, sometime it spawn, sometime it doesn't.

And we all glad that if Vanaduke didn't spawn Guards during its last phase.

List of myth

1. Run into the wall as soon as it finishes loading the "cutscene"
2. Use Maskeraith cloak and run to the top corners
3. Throwing water or dropping a bomb before phase 3 and 5 stop him from spawning enemies.
4. Flinching Vanaduke at the start of the phase would stop the spawns.

Just run into the wall as soon as it finishes loading the "cutscene" or use Maskeraith cloak and run the the top corners.

What you mean to the wall? You mean avoid getting detect by Vanaduke so it wont spawn?

He means before the fight starts. Run into the shadowfire that's blocking you and vanaduke.

Sometimes throwing water or dropping a bomb before phases 3 and 5 stop him from spawning enemies...I think.

This would be interesting to test... If I ran FSC still.

That being said, when I did - it seemed to be random. Some times during stages 3/5, monsters were spawned and others they were not without any significant change in strategy or timings (always 2 blitzers releasing as invulnerability dropped). I would venture to guess that flinching vanaduke at the start of the phase would stop the spawns, but this is not possible with big parties or on elite (pending flash charging with a tortofist).

Despite the randomness, every time it did occur, there was an immediate aggro towards one knight in the party (instead of a short delay between spawn and selecting a target). This could either be tied to the animations for spawning or a key hint towards making this reproducible.

The maskeraith thing does not

The maskeraith thing does not work, he just spawns them after you uncloak

If there is way to actually stop Vanaduke spawn mobs, im sure this is benefit to those who love to solo Vanaduke.

I know Vanaduke wasn't mean to be defeated solo but hey, its feel good to kick Vanaduke arse alone.
