A guild should be able to buy a customizable Arcade gate of its own, maybe even several with added investment. It'd be operated like the old mineral ones were, along with the relevant deprecated achievements being reactivated. The existing door system can be used to keep the riffraff away from the console and crown gains for deposits would now be unnecessary.

Optionally, a gate could require a significant flat amount of minerals to launch and would last a limited time. I could see guilds rerolling the levels they got by depositing another, preferably smaller batch of assorted minerals too.

you don't simply build an arcade gate. I'm sure that if knights could do that we would already have a spaceship.
on a side note, gfates requiring a minum amount of minerals to work were a thing in beta, if I remember correctly.

Eh.

Selling minerals wouldn't work in this context seeing as you're powering the thing yourself. Doesn't really matter whether it gives you the handful of quarters or not I suppose.

one would think that if more than four arcade gates would be accessible the SK HQ would be using them, don't you think?

Even if they did this, because everyone only has Valestone+Moonstone, all the levels created would be freeze themed. Gate Construction

Sigh.

I guarantee you that they would not be Freeze themed due to the simple fact that it's a guild resource, not a common one. If people just dumped their ores into it, the guild masters would probably plunk down a GM gate and start organizing it by hand. Rooms are not cheap.

Fiends currently drop special materials. I wager most guild gates would be Fiend themed right about now so they don't have to rely on Arcade's fickle whims. Useful, no?
