Like the timekeeping devices of old, the 'Pivots' of Pendulum strive for balance between themselves and the Clockworks. These knights understand that without harmony, without order, the Clockworks (and thus Spiral Knights) will fail.

By helping others, being fair, playing positively, and striving to be the best, Pendulum can help foster a better community and make Spiral Knights enjoyable for everyone for as long as possible. We simply want to play, play well, and see this place stay around for as long as it can.

We have 2 rules:

1) Be an excellent member of the community

2) Be an even more excellent member of the guild

Basically, lead by example.

Our recruitment criteria:

- Active players
- Sense of honor, fairness, and generosity. (e.g. You can handle beggars with grace and are more inclined to let them 'earn' EQ, perhaps by running with you)
- Not surviving off of mist energy, or, if you are, it doesn't become anyone else's problem (you should be on no one's tab, and should be able to keep up without needing handouts)
- Intermediate level experience (you don't die all of the time and no one needs to explain damage/weaknesses etc to you)
- At least Tier 2 capable
- You have an impact on and bring value to any team

All potential knights will be undergo evaluation over a period of 3-7 days as a 'Recruit'. Passing evaluation makes you a 'Member', and from there rank is determined by skill, leadership, etc. Here's the breakdown:

Member - Approved knight, meets the guild criteria, all around awesome person and player

Veteran - Powerhouse player. You laugh at slags, jelly armies, and use greavers as kites for fun. At least one set of 5* armor. You show up and the game is suddenly easier. People like you.

Officer - Veteran+ leadership skills. You can get members to do amazing things. You probably specialize in one fighting style, but can easily switch it up to something else if you have to. Everyone wants to be just like you some day and with your leadership it's possible.

Not all players will be accepted. We're looking for the best knights, because we want to make an impact!

guild recruitment

Hi I am interested in joining your guild IGN: Emotionless

Helm- Ash Tail Cap (soon to be vog cub once I level it up to 10)-I enjoy the looks of the helm and it give damage bonus

Armor- Ash Tail Coat- matches with my helm and also provide sword damage bonus which is nice lol

Shield-Stone Tortoise/ Wise Owlite shield-hmm i=I got stone tortoise a while back and it's a great shield for tier 2, but for tier three I'm switching back to owlite series because elemental damge is EVERYWHERE.

Weapons- Avenger (looks cool:) suits my defensive playing style),Vile Striker(for jelly king), Volt Driver( very useful when I need to kite, plus added shock status),Tempered calibur (thinking about getting leviathan blade for all around reliable sword)

I like the idea of your guild as it seems close knit and displays a good example for other players to follow. I'm an easygoing player who gets along with players and enjoys having a good time while annihilating the opposition in the clockworks:). My playing style is a defensive swordsman who provides solid support for more agressive players.

I need a new guild

I've been bouncing around a few guilds, recently, mostly due to inactive players and I'd like to give a new guild a try.

My IGN is Romsanta

I wear a Vog Cub armor set.

I am a swordsman,but compensate for it by using swords with projectile attacks, namely an Avenger, soon to be of the Divine variety, a Gran Faust, and most recently, a Dark Thorn Blade.

I use a Dark Thorn Shield, but also have a Wise Owlite waiting to be upgraded to 5*

My playing style is aggressive, almost to fault, but I can play defensively when the situation calls for it. I am an active and generous player, with a buddy list consisting mostly of T2 players who's equipment I've crafted mostly out of my own pocket, who can attest to my claims. I believe I could be an asset to Pendulum.

A bit about me..

If it helps enlighten folks, here's some info about me.

I've played since April 8th. I own multiple pieces of 5* armor, but my general purpose setup looks like this:

Vog Cub Coat, Skolver Cap, Grey Owlite
Levi, G Faust / DA, Hail Driver / Argent Peacemaker, Shivermist Buster / Ash of Agni / Whatever
2 Tetra Heart Pendents

I generally swap out pieces of EQ as needed (I have multiple sets of 5* armor), depending on the strata. Armor-wise I'm equipped for mostly anything except severe shock (working on it). I am currently working on a set of bomber armor and the weapons to go with it. I can craft around 125 recipes.

I'm an aggressive player. I move quick and can be reckless, but have played enough to know when to cut it out. I regularly PUG because I find that this play style does well in Tier 2 - I can just run through a stage and carry newer players through for easy heat.

I am currently working toward mastering the Vanaduke run, but have been splitting my time between that, preparing a bomber setup, and coaching some new folks.

I play every day, 1-2 hours a day. More on weekends. I'll be cutting back a bit, but enough to still be considered *very* active.

I really wanted to get Pendulum together because I'm tired of negative responses to negative behavior (blocking beggars instead of teaching them, bashing on the forums, rude dudes in PUGs).

Update

Pendulum now has about 17 players. Given that we're fairly new, here's a bit more info on how we've evolved.

- We have a growing officers team that has been coaching, recruiting, and leading members
- We have several veteran players that have been leading JK runs like crazy - almost all day and night at this point
- The guild has established a 'needs list'. Put what you need on the list and you'll surely have it in a short amount of time
- We've started Vanaduke Thursdays, where we run FSC
- We run Tier 3 regularly for recipes

The group has turned out to be very helpful. I think I've given away over 300k in donations to the team to get them up to speed. I've gotten that back, easily, in heat, equipment, CE, and good times.

If you're looking for a good group devoted to 'doing right' in the Clockworks, let us know. We're accepting newer folks too, so don't be shy!

@Grimster - Most of us are based in the central US, but a lot of us play in the mornings and early afternoons here. I believe we have a few Europeans players and from what I can tell they don't have a problem finding guild members to play with.

Pendulum movie

Hey its me Emotionless I don't think this is the proper place to put this, but I am going to be making a HUGE guild movie/montage based on the Pendulum guild and Spiral Knights gameplay. The movie will star each single guild member in action in the depths of the clockworks and much much more. We are recruiting again! We've spent the last three weeks getting our recruits up to levels of competence far beyond the average player, and are once again open for registration.

Now that we've come into our own, as a guild, however, we're recruiting 3rd tier knights, but are willing to make exceptions and take on 2nd tier players. We would also prefer to know you first-hand before inviting you in, so if you don't already know one of us, look for our members running around town, and befriend us.

If you are good-natured, competent, and willing to submit yourself to our ritualistic trial by fire, then we of the Pendulum guild will welcome you as a brother-in-arms.

Closed... again!

Jeebuz, we've grown a lot, since joined a little over a month ago. When i joined we had a total of seven members, and just look at us now; 40 members. Around a third of our ranks joined in the last 12 days, and we need to get ourselves properly organized again, and to that end we are closing registration... again. Seeing as we recruit mostly through referral, the necessity of this announcement seems to be somewhat moot, but regardless, must be made.

Until we reorganize, registration is closed and that's all there is to it.

Here we go again

It appears that dome of our guild mates have gone MIA, so in order to maintain an active guild we've started recruiting again. This time, however, we're also recruiting Tier 2 knights, to diversify our ranks.

Given that our practice of recruiting almost exclusively through referral still continues, I am once again addressing no one. However, as i have previously stated, this must be done, just as a bulletin board must be kept up to date, regardless of whether anyone check it, or not.

Armor- Spiral Demo Suit (also working on this to get to full bomber gear)

Shield-Mighty Defender (Though I'm thinking of switching to the owlite line)
(I have other higher star gear, but I recently decided to go all bomber and this is what I use for now)

I would really like to join your guild because of the level of standard that you hold your members to. I want to join a guild that is active, friendly, and skilled.

I play mostly everyday, and I would welcome any level of interaction from my guildmates. I feel that I really give a strong value to a team because I have had multiple different people compliment me on my bombing skills. I want a guild that challenges me to be a better player, and this sounds like it's the one!

Currently trying to amass enough CE to make an elemental and shadow sword (namely, Iceburst and Nightblade), upgrade my Pulsar and maybe try out bombing (my Fiery and Freezing Vaporizers need to be upgraded first though).

Have T3 access and have ventured down there a couple of times. But I'm still trying to learn how to always survive that deep in Clockworks. If its T2 though, let me at 'em! Lawl <3. (Does this sound like the right fit for the guild? Erm..)
