Title.

This has actually been on my mind for a while. Since gremlins, mainly Herex, know the location of where we reside in, what's stopping them from leading an onslaught of a gremlin ghostmane army? Our 2* autogun recon knights? Herex already claimed "He has many eyes watching us".

There was the RT project to destroy haven but we trashed that anyways.

How do you know if Herex hadn't defeated us already? Maybe Herex and Tinkinzar wanted us to live, so that they can always have an excuse to rule the gremlin masses with an iron fist, a war they say, to get rid of the knights, millions of Gremlin workers in the arm plants and PMC, paying their taxes and boosting the enconomy. And they even intentionally let us go deep into the clockworks to help them get rid of fiends, undeads, apocreans and rampaging tortodrones, we are helping them cleaning up the clockwork so they can manipulate it for their purposes better, and even if we did get into their way, the swarm will always be there as their trump card.

We are nothing more than a group of visitors, on this planet, they make the rules, not us. Cradle is their home, our hell.

While I appreciate the deep thought out response, that does not answer my question from the title of the thread. I used Herex as an example of enemies finding out where our resting area is and attacking it. They have already shown they can easily infiltrate our base and steal artifacts from us as if we were babies.

Sure we are large in numbers, but so is everything we fight in self defense.

(And this is totally not a ploy to give away our location to the enemies, knyack)

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

I think that knights are the defense of haven. we are everywhere, and if someone attacks haven it's gonna get rough in brandish charge attacks.

Sure we are large in numbers, but so is everything we fight in self defense.

Judging by the fact that there are still so many Gremlins in the clockwork, I think it is safe to say that they are reproducing faster than we are killing them.

Are you sure we are doing all these things in self defence?
-Tresspassing into private property, and no, 'infiltrate' a place doesn't make it anywhere more legal than barging in. (IMF, FSC, RJP and retchwell manors),
-Steal and temper with what isn't ours, spoils of war. (FoV, Antigua, pulsars and CoA)
-Disrespecting the dead (breaking dem grave stones, and for what? Money?)
-Excessive hunting of the native wild lives (wolvers and snarbolaxes, all them wolver coats.)
-Exploiting gremlin refugees in emberlight, forcing them to repair our stuff. And judging by the fact Nonna still needs knights to adopt kids, I conclude that spiral order hasn't, within its power, to improve the life in the slum.
-Blood sport, maybe no one really died, but the hates are there. (LD, nuff said)
-Racism (no Gremlin has yet to become a member of the spiral order, xenophobia much?)

Our knights might look cute on the out side, but our hearts are definately one size too small. No wonder almost everything on cradle wants to kill us, we kinda deserve it due our misguided barbarism, or what you might call it, self defence. It is kind of like saying, "I come in peace, but if you try to touch me, I will rip your face off." I am sure this is not you think we are doing, but it is how I view the spiral order as.

---Derailling ends here---

Yes, haven is definately an open area, the entire clockworks are connected in some way, hence all the different gates. So in another word, one day Haven can be connected to a certain gate, and the other day it is closed off. And I think the RT attack and Herex's infiltration were all depeneded on a certain timing window within the gate shuffles. So Haven is not totally screwed, but we are definately not safe from a ground attack.

Thank you for that response, Midnight. Can't argue with what you're saying because it's all very true. Although people using adopted monsters in their pockets while slaughtering the monster's race confuses even me to this day.

but that does raise another question. Where exactly is haven on cradle? :o

I would say that Haven is

I would say that Haven is fairly similar to the city of Helium from John Carter in respects to being fairly isolated.
