Anyone tried the new equipment out yet? I've got the new rapier but it seems like beasts and fiends would dodge the charged attack's projectiles. Anyone know how that works out with the higher tiered versions of the thing? Also, the shield; is the damage bonus worth having a shield that defends against piercing, as opposed to the Owlite line, which defends against elemental damage?
The new Lewis-Caroll-gibberish-named equipment; snarble bard and whatsitname shield
The shield is fine. I went through a 0-29 run using the 5*, and it worked just fine. A little more fragile than my Omega, but the damage bonus was nice.
The sword is good for those who don't want a flourish. Otherwise.... It's a flourish with a different charge attack. I already have and use a Final Flourish, so have no real interest in it, but that's just me.
I'm not a bomber, but seeing it, it's a blast bomb that does piercing instead of normal damage. *shrug*
With the new gate having 4 Fiend and 1 Beast stratums, it might be slightly more viable weaponry, but probably nothing game-changing.
Didn't Nick (Admin) say that monsters will be doing more Piercing damage soon?
Either way I'm already almost done with an Elemental Resist Set as well as a Piercing Resist Set, both 5*. I may need a Shadow Set though... I feel so vulnerable to ugly Shambler fingers.... UGH they're so UGLY and GROSS!

I'm currently using the 4* version of the Shield though to be more on-topic. When it's 5* I'll be able to reach Damage Bonus Maximum.
The Snarbalox gear is aimed towards beasts and fiends, so, ultimately useless but fun to have :) The problem is that the gear goes up to 5*, but you don't need piercing..anything..in T3, really. I prefer the new sword's charge attack over the final flourish's. The shield is nice if you have a skolver set, I guess. Max sword damage. If you don't care about that, then yes, grey owlite is far superior.
