Every time I hoover over an armor item (just the body part) the game crashes(stays frozen for a while and then closes) and I can't seem to find an explanation for that.

Is that something that can be fixed?

Help please I can't replace my armor because of that!

I'm in Ubuntu 14.04 and java is fully updated and the game runs smoothly except that which I explained.
Specs:
Processor- Intel® Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz × 2
Graphics- Intel® 965GM
Memory - 1.9 GiB

Same here, otherwise the game seems to run okay, even if it is kind of slow loading... May be a performance issue.

me too

It's been doing that to me ever since I upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04 in April. I've tried java 7, java 8, different video driver (newest from Intel/Mesa), nothing seems to help.

It crashed on me again a few minutes ago, while I was looking at Basil's wares. All I did was mouse over a Nameless Poncho (I think any armor would have done it) for a fraction of a tick.

I have a 2.8GHz Intel Core2 Duo with the integrated Intel Mobile GM45 graphics chip.

And no, I don't use Steam.

Since 2 of you reported using an Intel GPU, try updating (or changing for an older version) the Intel graphics drivers? Failing that, there's always the more extreme solution of using something like VMWare workstation or Virtualbox to play SK in a different virtual OS...

That's 3 of us

Actually I have an intel GPU too, so that could be the issue. I'll try using different drivers...

fixed in 14.10

I upgraded the laptop to Ubuntu 14.10 today. I'm still crossing my fingers, but I went through my armor inventory and the armor section of the auction house with no crashes yet.

Edit (a week later): Still hasn't crashed in a week. I'm calling this problem fixed.
