I am curious. Can everyone please post where they found any lockbox (iron, mirrored, titanium, silver)? So specify your depth, name of the level, and name of the theme.

Lockboxes are one of my hobbies in this game. As a person who works toward these boxes and keys, I have one tip.
In order to get a lockbox of ANY kind, you must open one first. And this only applies to ones that require keys. Within the next few depths, you will get a box. :x

That is very interesting, I have never heard of that before. I don't know too much about them in that sorta sense because I view them as a waste of money. The only gain I've ever got from one was in the first week that Titanium Boxes came out. And I only made ~10k. Maybe 30k.

You don't really have to open one to get them, but opening one will seemingly nearly triple your chances.
The other day i opened 3 titanium boxes and got 2 in a row from a prize wheel about 2-3 depths in.

Myth about early opening!!
I've found over 40+ lockboxes. Only opened one nearly 2 years ago and got the ugly military goggles (splinter cell-looking). Sold them all. I also blocked myself from getting them. There's a limit to how many your inventory of them can carry. I think i had been walking around with 30 of them and they never re-appeared on the elevator wheels again for over a year. I was so relieved. I was tired of getting them. I've gotten 4 in one day while doing the PK event. And another time i got 3 while going on 4 elevators. I have had some crazy (albeit tiresome) luck with them :/

The theme/name of the level, or the mission, as the case may be, has nothing to do with the probability of getting Lockboxes. The thing that DOES matter is the depth. Tier 3 has a lot more Lockboxes per day than Tier 1. I am also pretty certain that playing levels on elite helps as well. The harder the level, the higher chance of a Lockbox. Or so I've heard.
