So, I want to hear from you! What's the best item you've gotten from a box in SK? It could be a promo box, lockbox, forge prize box… anything!
Your luckiest unboxing!
Prismatic glow eyes.
Right next to getting two military wolver tails in a row. Yeah, you read that right.
Arcane halo from the Nemesis prize boxes the first time around :/
The Bitter End on the first box
I usually have horrible luck with boxes, though.
I don't know how to say this but...my luckiest unboxing was... a Heavy SIDE BLADE from the titanium box... ¬-¬
(i usually only find divine party hats from lock-boxes :/ )
Hallow wings from a hallow prize box. Yeah, I know it's nothing prismatic, or divine, or shadow, or hunter, or surge, or lovely, or frosty, or nothing fancy, but I just don't have the insane luck like some people, nor the crowns to constantly open boxes. Grumble grumble
I got a whippersnapper's whuppin stick from one of em' old timer's boxes. N-n-n-n-now which of em' youngn's wants a whuppins?
Grandpa Grittle, just... just go back to sleep.
Jack O' Bombhead was the best I could find so far ;_;
Cosmic Plasma Wings from the Equinox prize box <3
Luck is an arbitrary number designed to reinforce your box opening behavior.
Unboxed divine wings from a nemesis box and spiral eyes from an iron lockbox.
In both birthday boxes this year I have found (almost) exactly what I wanted - obsidian armor and serene cuirass, also got sniped stranger hat from the second try.
Toasty Side Blade from my only box ever that isn't hallow or frosty.
Blooming Halo, immediately followed by Lovely Bent Vents. The Lovely promo was overall very kind to me -- I got a Tailed Helm, Bunny Tail, and two sets of Whiskers too.
I decided to buy one the Solstice Prize Boxes this year for the heck of it and managed to unbox a Crown of Winter. I've generally been too afraid to take risks on boxes but I guess this one paid off.
While this next one might not necessarily be my unboxing, it was still pretty lucky. A few of my friends and I were opening some Lockboxes for absolutely no reason whatsoever (it seemed like a good idea at the time). One of my friends offered to give the contents of one of their boxes if we could guess it exactly (highly improbable).
I thought to myself: "I might as well guess something good because it's probably not gonna be what I guess anyway." My guess was a Cool Wolver Tail; it was exactly that. So in the end I somehow made a profit by opening Lockboxes...
I ended up getting a sunshine crest on my first solstice box this year, followed by a sunshine aura. Only got UV tickets after those two, but it helped complete my radiant angel appearance.
A long time ago, when I was (mildly) active I received a storm rider mantle from a storm prize box (which I then sold for 3.3 million)
Luckiest is probably 2 hallow wings from 2 DH boxes in a row, followed just a few boxes later by a haunted aura. This was last month, and witnessed by a lot of people in Haven. And a couple of days after that I got a nature sprite (0.5% chance) from very first Almire box opened!
Also got 5 titanium prize wheel boxes and a radiant forge box in that very same week, so yeah a pretty insane week that was...
But with the exception of the Almire GH boxes, I don't open boxes unless they're free event boxes like hallow and frosty.
In recent memory, three events come to mind. First, during either our first or second Dark Harvest on Haven, I received a "customer loyalty gift" from my preferred Stranger merchant. It had been randomly selected from his inventory, and I opened it to find a Haunted Aura. this aura was used on... well, my costume. Don't look at me like that.
A fair while later, during the recent Kataclysmic Confrontation with the appropriate prize boxes, I managed to gain two of the forehead gems as well as a Grim Seal. Some day, I will find Margrel and defeat him, for the sake of a friend of mine, and I intend to bind this Seal to whatever scraps are left over. Perhaps fashion it into something useful, we shall see...
Finally, during the recent excavations into the ruins of Almire, I was ordered onto the archeology team for my outstanding performance reassembling Apocrean obelisks in the past. Note that "archeology" is only loosely applicable in this case. The digging we were doing involved flaming wreckage far more than any sort of dust, naturally. At any rate, we were beginning to get overrun by the Walkers when I accidentally rammed through a hidden doorway with my shield, blocked previously by more debris. Inside I found an impressively well preserved chamber, most likely used as the meeting hall of some high-ranking member of Almiran society. The flames had touched this chamber significantly less than others, and though there were no preserved records to be found, the furniture was all remarkably intact, with a mere outer layer of burn damage. The team allowed me first pick of the artifacts, and so it came to pass that an authentic battle standard directly from the cursed lorddom came to rest in the corner of my guild hall's entryway. For the same reason, my personal quarters accommodate a genuine Almiran throw-rug, which is still impressively lush all these centuries later. I know, we have little capacity to appreciate such comforts given our anatomy, but even so it's a pleasant memento.
I once found a box inside of a box.
