Emotionless

Since last night I have not been able to connect to spiral knight AT ALL. I'm pretty sure it was after the snarbolax patch was added because SK was working before the patch, and when I kept trying to log in the screen kept on saying can't connect to the server. I have tried re-installing the game multiple times and i still cannot connect to the server. Its Friday night and no SK I'm dying some one please help me!!

Hi. We need more information

Hi. We need more information from you all; saying "I can't connect" doesn't tell us a whole lot.
What is your graphics driver, processor speed, amount of RAM, Java version and are you using a wired or wireless internet connection?

I am particularly interested in what type of router you are all using; some users with a certain type of router are having issues.
Please reply back with all of that information, and we can start troubleshooting.

I am also suffering from this

I am also suffering from this problem, I recently got the game through steam. But since that wasn't working, I linked my account with my facebook and I was still unable to log in. I kept getting a "disconnected from server" message. I tried launching the game from the sk site and I ran into the same problem.

My system specs:
Windows 7 Professional
AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core 6400 + 3.21 ghz
4 gigs of ram
nvidia 8800 gts video card
llinksys WRT54G2 using a wired connection.
java Version 6 Update 26

I hope this helps. I greatly appreciate it.

I've also experienced this

I've also experienced this issue, but I'm actually trying to connect to the game via a Steam install of it, and I'm not sure if that's somehow interfering with my log in.

Well I plugged directly into my modem and it works now. Unfortunately I can't always do this. So I am just looking for a way to fix this issue.

Hi all, The Linksys WRT54G,

Hi all,

The Linksys WRT54G, WRT54G2 and pretty much everything in that series that is Version 5 or higher is having issues connecting to the game.
It doesn't seem to affect every router of that type, but it does seem to only affect that model router--it has something to do with the router's firmware.

This thread is about that issue. The dev team is aware of the problem with these routers, but they have a lot on their plates so you'll need to be patient while they work on a fix. Linksys as a company no longer exists as it was bought by Cisco, so the odds of an official firmware update from the company actually responsible for updating the firmware are practically nonexistent (At least for the older versions of the router).

That said, users in the thread I linked to have fixed their problem by installing DD-WRT firmware on the router. Please read all the warnings in that thread before attempting to install DD-WRT.
