Greetings,

Most "Gamemedia" errors are caused by something blocking Steam's Java install. Please try addind java and javaw as exceptions to whatever security program you may be using on your computer. These files can normally be found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Spiral Knights\java_vm\bin when running Spiral Knights from Steam.

Greetings,

Could you please provide a copy of your launcher log file then? This file contains what the patcher attempts to do before launching the game and will likely contain more information about the error. For Steam users on a Mac this file is normally located within the ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/spiral knights/ folder. One of the easiest ways to get there is to use the Go to Folder command in Finder by pressing the ⌘ + Shift + G hotkey.
