Please help me get this running

Alright, so first off my technical specs are...
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T3400 @ 2.16GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory: 3072MB RAM
1612MB used, 4265MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Chip Type: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Up to date Java Player

I am not sure what I have missed or not, but when I had installed Spiral Knights, after the loading screen(?) disappears validating 100%, there will be a brief pause before my display goes "black", or to try to put it in more detail, my display 'glitches and flickers' between blackness and my front screen as if it wants to cut on, but after a brief time of this, it will show a java error report saying "We were unable to initialize the game's graphical display. Please take the following steps to ensure compatibility:..."

I am at a standstill of what to do having followed all the suggestions to the best of my ability, but do not want to take the step in purchasing new equipment for my computer when I am able to play most games on this computer fine (at low resolution but they play just fine). I'm simple and just would like to know if due to my specs or due any problems that anyone else has been having with this game that I will be able to play, or just will be best in moving on.

You will probably be prompted

You will probably be prompted by UAC if it is enabled. Your screen will flicker/go blank and resolution will change during the uninstall phase.
