Me and a friend are planning on doing a shadow lair, and we're doing Snarby. My friend wants to get almirian and I want to get the sarby set and he bought the Shadow lair mats for the Almirian. Can you trade the mats you get from the end of the mission while in the sanctuary?

Bopp is correct
you pick up the mat at the sanctuary and you're able to trade it as you wish from there on as soon as you picked it up
make sure you have all 4* gear heated to lvl 10 and all other necessary mats beside the SL mats to craft
in case you forgot something and even the people with you don't have them .. just ask a friend or guild mate to send it to you via mail .. and you're able to craft after you accepted them

He's just checking that the material isn't given to you afterward, as a mission reward...no, wait, that doesn't make sense. Oh well.
I think that you pick up the material as you enter the Sanctuary. After that, you can trade at any time with anyone. This includes the rest of the Sanctuary.
If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.
