I'm here to eat jelly cubes, and ask questions, and I'm all out of jelly cubes.

Howdy all. I have a question, a questiony question that questions.....questiony, and here it is: When you stockpile your wealth in SK, how do you prefer to stockpile/keep it as? Crowns or Energy? And why? What is your reasoning or explanation behind this? I only ask this because I've finally made the commitment to stockpiling, even though I really hate fsc (but that's beside the point), and I was curious as to what everybody's preferred method of stockpiling is.

So, whether you are a noob or a pro, a hipster or a clone, a humble bumble or elitist, a bomber, swordsman, or a gunner, a merchant or a grinder, a fighter or a sciencer, WE (or should I say I) WANT YOUR OPINION!

Pretty Please and Pretty Thank You,

~Me

I preferably choose to save my currency as energy.
Energy appears lighter in numbers and makes me look at the money I have in a different perspective.
In this case... Supply Depot. Plenty of things there are pricy, and I've grown onto this little 'mindset' where energy is the most precious resource I could have*. Take the orbs. Mediocre** yet somewhat reasonable price, but I like to find them instead...
The reluctance to buy them helps me save money, and they are the only thing I usually buy from the Supple Depot :v

But for crowns, when I see it in large quantities, it makes me think: "I'm rich! Rich! Rich, I tell you! Let's look at the Auction House and see what I can spend because I'm totally not saving up for anything!***" I feel like I could buy anything when I'm over even 60K crowns lolololol.

I save it as whatever. Don't really keep it in one form or the other. Like half and half.

I'd say energy nowadays, in case they do flash sales I don't have to suddenly rush to get some energy along with everyone else.
When energy is at a high point I do crowns and wait though. Sometimes I let them sit in a low bid on the energy market so I'm not tempted to buy stuff on the AH.

I definitely would store wealth in energy. I mean 9550 CE looks cleaner than 1,765,898 cr, well at least IMO. I do like seeing high numbers, but like Cross-Over said, seeing that much cr on my screen just makes me want to buy a reskinned Leviathan Blade made to look like a pair of scissors. .

And so i don't regret a decision like that, I make most of my wealth into CE, and usually have about 20-30k cr on me.

Energy because the CE market is more likely to favor CE than cr, so if I save my money as CE it has more chance of being worth more later.

@Jabbz 9550 E is 668,500

@Jabbz

9550 E is 668,500 crowns. Welcome to the world of math!

Storing as Crowns or Energy is dependent on your intentions.

If you plan to roll punch in the future, or buy stuff off the AH, keep crowns. If you use flash sales, or trading with most people, E is probably better.

Though I would say, if energy costs 6.3k or less to buy 100 for, store as energy. If 100 E can be sold for 6500 or more crowns per, then store as crowns

That way, you are inadvertently playing the market in addition to stockpiling, and therefore would be making money in addition to stockpiling.

No.
Nooooo.
The Math Gremlin is here. I will never succumb to your complex equations and... Things. Things!

Anyhow, @No-Rules
Whenever I try to make a profit off the market, I just continuously buy and resell energy / crowns at the market for a small profit each turn, haha d:
If someone outbids me, I outbid them back e.e
I just check every, how you say, 1-2 seconds?
I might be the reason why the few knights complain about their lack of energy sometimes in Haven. Haha...!

I'm not paranoid

all that matters is the future

You have to watch for updates to the game. If an update is going to make crowns precious, the stockpile crowns. If an update is going to make energy precious, then stockpile energy.

For example, just before the guild hall update it was very clear that guild halls were going to require a lot of crowns. So I stockpiled crowns.

I always stockpile as energy - habit from the days when energy was needed to play elevators and prices were always rising except for those glorious promos when they'd spike downwards.

One of my favorite moments was when I converted all my CE to CR shortly before the Punch update (at somewhere between 5-6k, I believe? I predicted people would go crazy gambling with CR so I figured the price would spike down) before rebuying them at 1-3k shortly after the patch. Not that I had much CE in the first place, but it was a glorious 20 minutes.

Nowadays I only really spend CE on alchemy orbs (3-4*) and trinket/weapon slots (my 30 day subscription to the game <3)

I keep it as it is in crowns, since bigger numbers feel better. xD
Actually since energy is now optional premium currency, I do avoid using it and I use it only when I have to.

A bit of both

I usually don't buy energy if I'm approaching a crown milestone (I.E., the next million crowns), but as long as I stay relatively above that milestone I'll convert a few thousand crowns to energy once or twice during a play session.

But in all seriousness, I display my "wealth" (which used to exist) in the form of costumes :3

Neither or both because I often transform my wealth back and forth. If you want to make profit out of energy trades you should know what to do aye?
