No, I'm right. It is you.
Never ending turmoil with each update nowadays...
It saddens me a bit to see the toxicity of *this* (forum) community grow as the weeks go by. But you know, in the end, you'll never be satisfied. Once something "big" happens it'll only satisfy you for on so long, before you want more... Which thus leads to the never ending cycle which most of us are quite aware of, or should be, at this point in time.
Let this be a small reminder that this is after all, just a game. You are not forced to play nor pay into the game. We've all spent a lot of time into this game that it does become apart of the daily routine, but it doesn't have to be if you're not fed up with it. It never hurts to take a break every now and then; it's only healthy. Games should be played for *fun* and leisure. One shouldn't feel obligated into playing for X amount of time per week like it's a job or something. (This should all be quite obvious)
I can openly admit that I've turned into one of those "event-only players". You know what I mean, fully fled out Vanguard, 45k+ Pony Badge, and not all, but *enough* gear and weapons to get you by basically any situation. Been around enough to see it all and are quite knowledgeable to still discuss the game's mechanics even though we're not that active, since we've played so much that it's basically embedded into our system.

Set your expectations low, so then the outcome will always look more positive. Good balance between optimism and realism... Nothing will come out *exactly* how we want it but at least you get something out you wanted.
From the moment the door opened, there is a whole new world with new and unknown adventures
I wish you all a good day~
I take it that by toxicity, you mean the general attitude regarding threads devoted to the idea that Three Rings should "make more content and less promotions", or that the game is somehow dead, rather than threads like "Haw haw, Contri is an angry german kid." Or did you mean the way these threads have been handled as of late? There has certainly been a lot of mysteriously kosher hair pulling going on within each of these threads.
So lets pretend for a moment that SEGA/Three Rings have decided to devote a tiny crew to the game and focus all of their efforts on bigger and better things, like mobile development, while milking the game for whatever funding they can get and not putting much back into it. Would it be considered toxicity to speak out against this sort of behavior, or would it be loosely considered as some form of patriotism?
Alternatively- what if I did not hold such an opinion, but still wanted to talk about it? Obviously, no one is really informed about what goes on behind closed doors at SEGA, but this sort of topic is still of interest to apparently many players that care about the game in general. Perhaps we could dig up information on what similar titles to Spiral Knights are doing with their content and use that as a basis for our discussion?
