Stop posting ideas , so the developers don't have to start making second thoughts on either releasing the update or delaying so they can add in our ideas.
It seems plausible that they could be looking at our ideas in interest while "working" on the update. Who knows , maybe we have been giving ideas to OOO , and they are makin promo's from little slivers of these ideas put together. Maybe we are causing these promos.

But I see this suggestion is next to impossible. People are still too excited for their ideas, so they'll start spam posting them.

No, that's not actually plausible at all.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

I think they have a schedule, and they must do that before going for the next thing in the list "great things sugested by the community".
assuming that list exists.

I like to think it's a whiteboard in the back of their office with the title in all caps:
COOL STUFF THE COMMUNITY WANTS AND/OR CAME UP WITH.

It's in between the boards that are labeled:
GUNNER UPDATE TO DO LIST.

And,
BUGS THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND FOREVER THAT WE SHOULD REALLY GET TO AFTER THE GUNNER UPDATE.

Now that i think about it, i like to think OOO's office is covered in whiteboards with ridiculousness scribbled on them.

Where would they put the whiteboards?

and @OP: most suggestions that pop up here have never been implemented at all in any way save for some very, very small ones (like my suggestion to have a marker for party leader on the new UI) or some that were problems OOO had in mind already and took suggestions from here about it (Severage's guild update).

I think OOO are better at keeping their priorities straight than to deviate from whatever their internal schedule is to make a change suggested by the community if it would take more than an hour or two's worth of work. If it really was a problem, they would just close the subforum down anyway.
