"Are we just going to keep monologing? I have a feeling this won't end peacefully. . ." Lana says, As she stretches her arms.
Immortal: Dawn of Time
There was an audible thump when Fiora landed on the forest floor from her perch. "Am I late to the party?" she quipped, casually twirling her swords as she strutted toward the dragon woman.
The dragon woman narrowed her eyes and studied the newcomer. "Hmm. You must be Fiora. I am Xivana, the Dragon Princess. You fellas might wanna leave our territory before things get a little messy." At the last word, a wide smirk appeared in her lips. She clearly relished the opportunity to make things "messy."
Meteko glanced at Lana before looking back to the lady. "You're not making the situation any better."
"Just in time, Fiora-"
"You're not making the situation any better."
"Right, Right- But what's wrong with a friendly battle?" Lana says, As she bows to Xivana.
She grins, and readies her knife, But doesn't make a move.
OOC: Saboteur is kneeling behind the main group with his light weight mortar ready, any of you can call him for an artillery strike if you need it, he has both lethal and non-lethal options.
Violet count inured to grumble as she made her way through the forest.
"One guy pops up and everyone vanishes, great." An explosion rang out nearby and Violet rolled her eyes. "About time you guys did something. A few metres ahead, she spotted a smoking crater and what appeared to be two silhouettes, but she paid them no more heed when she heard nearby conversation.
Her shoulder was still sore, especially when any motion was taken, but the sting from her I miscalculated punch had mostly subsided. Fiora abruptly dropped down in front of Violet, startling her and furthering her irritation. Fiora, however, did not notice Violet and was focusing on another woman ahead. Violet glanced around before edging off to the side.
As her angle shifted, she noticed the other members of the team, who seemed to be hiding themselves. Violet deducted that they were most likely hiding from the woman whom Fiora had confronted. Without a care as to their attempts to remain obscure, she walked past them casually, and positioned herself against a tree, somewhat close to some dude who looked ready to pop an explosive or two.
Fiora appeared calmer than at the start of the mission, and for that, Violet was slightly less annoyed; she crossed her arms and stared blankly at the two ladies who seemed to know each other.
Xivana uncrossed her arms and laughed. "Wow, seriously? This isn't even going to be a fair fi-" Her words were drowned out by the roar of her own flames engulfing the battlefield. Trees and grass burned to ashen cinders while your armor's shielding withered away to naught. And as you begin to seriously consider asking God for forgiveness before you die, an earth-shattering explosion knocks you unconscious. Darkness engulfs your vision.
[class is starting; I'll be back in a few hours]
Violet groaned as her thoughts returned to her. For a moment, she could not recall why she was angrier than usual, but the images of rapidly expanding flames and fiery vision quickly squirmed its way back into her mind.
Not caring for how she remained alive, Violet pushed herself up and looked around, muttering things under her breath.
Getting up Mono quickly starts his work again, for as much pain as he felt his mission came first before his wants and needs. Lets see, where are we...
Opening up his console on his HUD Mono tried to locate the other's Bio-Signitures as well as perhaps a clock of some kind to give him some idea as to where he currently was. Getting knocked out seemed to play with the Hackers mind a litte.
The flame, we didn't stand a chance
My suit was charred black, could barely see my surroundings as it is,
This Xivana woman is not to be messed with, she reminds me of someone just like her...
Oh Saboteur, are you talking to your self again? You need to start getting a girlfriend...
My love life is none of your concern, Mezizas...
Big words... but you still have to deal with my three children... they are near...good luck...
[Hiding in the distance are the three advent children of the obsidian queen. Each one manifesting into one of Mezizas's fiendish quality, the youth team leader, Mezi, is the manifestation of Mezizas's insatiable lust for power, Zee, the tall slender man, is the manifestation of Mezizas's devilish charm and last but not least, Zass the obsidian brute, is the manifestation of Mezizas's raw strength.]
Mezi: *points at Saboteur* "That man, has fragments of our mother..."
Zee: *chuckles* "Yeah, we should tear him apart, piece by piece..."
Zass: "YEAH!!! OR WE CAN JUST BASH THE BASTARD!"
Mezi: *sneers at Zass* " "Quiet down you moron, we don't want to wake up the rest of his party..."
Zee: "We should ambush him while he is isolated..."
Zass: "WHY?! Why can't we just beat him up? I WANT TO SEE SOME ACTION!"
Mezi: "It is true that he is just a man... however, it is he killed our mother as a mortal..."
Zee: "In another word he is not to be triffled with... we will be watching in the shadow for now..." *exits*
Mezi: "Our reunion with our mother is neigh... I can't wait to return to her embrace..." *exits*
Zass: "Heheh, yeah... mummy is always the best... Keh heh heh..." *exits*
((If you combine the name of Mezi, Zee and Zass together, it reads Mezizas.))
OOC: Saboteur's real name is never know, his face was never shown, all you know is that he is a man around his late 20's and he is good with explosives.
-Flash back: Operation Star Death-
[Saboteur finally retrieved the content of the first war head, but his worst fear came to live. The V-5 rockets were loaded with deadly neuro toxins and it won't take long for these chemicals to bring the spiral orders to its knees if they were ever deployed in battle. Saboteur carefully puts the chemical canister onto the ground before sabotaging the missile's guiding system, rendered the missile useless to Herex's cause.]
{Affraiel}: *through the radio* "Hey, Sabo!!! We are getting our butts kicked here! Some help would be-" *statics* "OOOHhhh, right my ba-" *statics*
{Desna}: *through the radio* "-Just finish the job soldier! We will hold back Herex's experiments! Defuse the remaining war heads!"
Saboteur: *picks up the chemical canister* "..."
[Saboteur returns to Desna and Affraiel only to find that they were overwhelmed by the last three Type-042s, all enhanced by the steroids. Their fists strengthened to the power of a jackhammer, one of them pummelled Affraiel to the ground, before the renegade warden could recover, he was stomped on by another type-042.]
Affraiel: "Arghhhh!!!"
Type-042B: "A good death is a reward in itself..."
Type-042C: "But you shall suffer for your insolence..."
Type-042D: "Those who defies our eternal god shall suffer..."
Affraiel: *recovers and spits blood* "On second thought, I think I am gonna stay with the spiral order..."
Desna: "Glad you agreed..."
Amy coughed and opened her eyes. This one was definitely a bit more dangerous than the previous enemies. Taking in her surroundings, she reached for her pistols and stood up.
You awaken to the eerie sound of drum beats and the enclosed confines of a pitch-dark cell. A strange metallic smell somewhat resembling copper filled the air, and the walls felt cold and chipped. Banging on them would produce a knuckle bruise and a slight *thap* sound characteristic of thick concrete.
OOC: Sorry for the long delay. I hadn't yet decided what to do with you guys. xD
"Yes, because everyone loves the darkness. Arg!" Violet grumbled and proceeded to stumbl to her feet. If she could have seen, she would probably have attended to her wounds, but within the darkness, she was left with not much to do.
"Hey, bucket heads! Anybody else there?" It irritated her immensely to be so helpless, but she clenched her teeth and began walking around the darkness, hands outstretched. The cold surface of what felt like concrete, rough and cracked, met with her finger tips abruptly.
"Holy Snipe turd. Someone get me out of here, before I beat you like the son of a Morai you are," she yelled. Violet didn't really expect a response, rather she just felt like blowing off steam, as she knew punching a concrete wall would get her nowhere. Her body slumped down with her back pressed against the cool surface, head resting between her hands.
Think Saboteur... think, who are your allies here?
Commander Fiora, I don't know what to say about her, atleast she is not a control freak like Ozlo...
Amy and Lana... party girls who are way too young to be in a crap hole like this... real pity, they could have turned out to be fine women...
Violet, probably 2 years younger than me, I wonder what she thinks of me, no high hopes here...
Meteko, Mono and I, that is about two and a half men in this team... or just two men, Mono is half man, and Meteko is another half...
Someone get me out of here, before I beat you like the son of a Morai you are.
Atleast Violet is alive and sound, I wonder what happened to the others... maybe I can ask her to give me her bra, the steel linings on the bra make for good lock picks...
Lana headbutts the wall, out of frustration.
It stung, but nothing she wasn't used to.
"Where can I get some beer...?"
Meteko grunted as he sat up. "Ugh... the Dragons are helping them too? As if we didn't have enough to deal with."
Looking around Mono sighed as he looked around in the darkness. Thankfully whoever put him here didn't bother taking away his suit, for both his health and his equipment's sake. After a second the only light source came from the three dots of his hood.
"It seems we are all together at the moment. No network access, no outside codes, all ports are currently blocked. However I still have vital signs from all of you."
Mono said in his Monotone voice, trying to give some reassurance.
Reaching for his blade Mono grumbled as he was willing to bet the enemy had stripped them of there weapons and gear before locking them away. He could have remote detonated on of the Demo's bombs if it was connected via networking but he had a hunch the Demo was smarter then to carry around a 'Smart' bomb on a mission.
"Sound of if your still alive."
They could hear their cell door rumble open, but no light was shed on their situation. The dungeon keepers could obviously find their way around in the dark. Someone stepped into their cell, grabbed Fiora, and dragged her out over her muffled screams.
Then the cell door closed, and the drum beats stopped.
A single, unified shout broke the silence, and the drums resumed their rhythm. Looks like Fiora wasn't coming back anytime soon.
"Who the- Fiora? Fiora!" Violet wasn't exactly panicking, but having the commander of the group being hauled away in the dark was fairly worrying. Surprisingly, the most frightening thing was the abrupt end to the ominous drum beat.
Violet groaned and stood up, feet shifting against the floor carefully, in an attempt to trace the location of wherever the door had opened. The heavy rumble made it clearly audible, but Violet soon could not fully recall the sound's origin. She continued nonetheless, until she bumped into and fell over someone.
Immediately after, the drum beat resumed; Violet wasn't sure whether to be relieved or further terrified.
((Are we in our own cells or one big group cell that should be cleared up for a moment))
Looking around the Three dots on Mono's Helm lit up as he readjusted his Respirator, no since in having him pass out due to lack of care for his own health. In the pitch black world the only light came from Mono's HUD as he tried his best to get a signal out to the other's gear or at least to give him there presents. If he could just get an outline on them it would make nagivating in the cell a little easier.
"That is one person alive, it would be nice if you all spoke up for a moment."
Mono said as he started to scan the area.
With any luck his Scan would give his allies a Outline for him to see, of course he needed to find where their gear was located via the scan first.
This isn't good. From what I understand about these creatures they are not very friendly, at least they tend to be when it comes to area's they own. The Smart plan would be to speak to whoever is second in command, which was not very well defined in the mission outlines. Oh come on, give me some outlines here to see with.
((One big group cell.))
((Also, the HUD will only a 2D minimap of the area.))
The minimap didn't show much. Mono could see roughly how big the cell was and which way he was pointed, and the scanner caught the second door in front of the main one. Whatever was outside their cell was sealed off from any and all observation, however fleeting.
Saboteur: *stands up* "I am alive, I am alive, the most important guy in the team is alive..." *chuckles* "Hey, where did Miss Fiora go? Anyone?" *turns to violet* "Hey, Violet, mind if I borrow your bra? Or are you wearing one of those sports bras? If it is the latter, then I am all out of ideas..."
((Thank you, I will have to update his software later, or get the team outlines working again on his end. 2D or not, he still has his armor which is in a since one large PC xD ))
"That won't be needed. This cell looks to be rather barbaric in nature, hing joints hold it together as well as a single lock. Lock picking would be smart but as far as my scans can tell I was able to locate you all in the cell. Fiora was just dragged off against her will. New Objective; escape. Solution, bring the door of the hings. If any of you think your strong enough just lift the door up. From the way the jailer easily swung open the door, its far to say the Joints are still in operating condition."
Holding up his left hand Mono tried to bring up his 3D map, no luck sadly due to the lack of connection to the network. However his 2D mini-map was working correctly. Opening up a Console Mono quickly went to work running a full check on his armor as well as his vitals. If he could get his Outlines on his Allies working on his end, then he would be able to better map out the size of the cell.
"If need be I suggest using the kits you where given. Seeing as they left our armor on us it would be wise to see what else they left us with. Once we have taken stock go ahead and see about either picking the lock or brute-forcing the Joins up and out of there sockets."
Taking a Knee Mono went to work seeing what systems where currently offline as well as checking on the health of his fellow Team members. It would be good to get the outlines working, not just to map out the cell but to also check on Fiora's situation.
Saboteur: "Lifing doors? Sounds like a job for me..."
Oh look at you sabo, the macho man who is gonna save the day... Affraiel must be proud of you right about now...
[In utter darkness, Saboteur navigated himself to the gate Mono described, he checked if there is any lock only to realize that this cell is almost a museum piece. Reaching down with his fingers, he finds a gap between the door and the stony floor below, standing now in a squatting position Saboteur uses up all his strength but could only lift the steel door up to his knee cap before giving up. The steel gate slammed back down, almost cut off Saboteur's toes in the process.]
Saboteur: *pants* "Damn... I may need some help on this one, Meteko? Girls? Any help?"
Meteko stood up. "I'm still alive, Mono." He half-felt, half-followed Sabo's voice before reaching the door. Grabbing the bottom, "Alright, on the count of 3. 1... 2... 3!" and pulled up as hard as he could.
((OOC: As I said in the app, Meteko is stronger than he looks. No armor strength enhancements, just him and the old katana, and he still managed to slice through armor, flesh, and bones.))
"Present."
Amy looked down, her two holsters were empty. She wasn't lifting a door.
"I'm not strong, I'll just get in the way.?"
"Regardless of straight or stamina, you should aid them in lifting the door. Every little bit helps. The only reason I am not aiding is because I am trying to get our gear back online. Something useful, asking for ammo is not useful. If you don't want to help then take a look around for stock and see if you can find anything of use. Rocks, stones, anything to aid them in getting the cell door of its hinges."
It was right for Mono to insert himself as the leader but in this moment he felt it was his obligation to step up and take the commanding post while there current leader was not present. After all the second in command was not giving orders.
"If that is too much then come over here and let me get a hold of your suits computer. I could use the spare parts."
Violet was stunned silent by the vulgar request. Had she been able to see, she would have slapped (or punched) him, quite hard. Instead, she was left seething, but luckily, the queer robot voice dude interjected. It helped that he was actually making progress to escape, but her mood was still sour.
At the mention of what equipment remained on their persons, Violet patted her sword hilt and found that her unused sword was indeed gone. Reaching to her side, she was surprised to find that her medical supplies were still present, however.
As Saboteur began lifting the door, Violet contemplated whether or not to help, but another voice spoke up and she settled back down. It occurred to her that she should probably learn her fellow teammates' names, of which she guessed she had heard at one point before the mission began.
A female voice spoke up and the robot voice replied. Violet couldn't bother focusing on the drivel, and settled to just listening to the eerie drum beat.
"If this place wasn't built too well, we may well be able to just break the walls. Just a guess."
Lana says, as she staggers to the door, In an attempt help raise it.
The door, unfortunately, wouldn't budge, and not because it was too heavy. It probably didn't occur to the prisoners that the dungeon keepers actually do lock the cell doors.
Lana's guess also happened to be wrong. The place is made of something like reinforced concrete - probably for their own safety. *hint*
Saboteur: *give up on the door* "It is no use..." *touches the door and found a lock in the darkness* "What is this?? A lock!" *turns to Violet* "Violet, I need your bra, NOW. And after I unlocked the cell, you can slap me as much as you want. Lana, Amy? Can anyone give a generous donation to the Saboteur's jail break foundation? It would be much appreciated... and don't look at me with those eyes, those walls are made of reinforced concrete, indestructable."
"We won't be able to see you anyways, it's pitch darkness. As long as Mono doesn't look in your direction, that is." If one were to listen closely, they could hear his voice slowly moving away from the door. If Mono could see the others on the minimap, Meteko would be backing away from Sabo.
"Sabo, I'm pretty sure you don't have any bombs. I do have an idea though- Just step back from the door. . ." Lana says, Ready to rush the door and headbutt it.
"Don't do anything rash. As for right now I am thinking of something that might help us but It requires spare parts as well as energy. Does any one have a spare speaker and head set they are not willing to keep."
His question always sounding like a statement Mono had a good idea about something that might help them, ECM feedback. Rather a loud pitch noise pointed in one direct to cause a even more painful irritation to the ear drum. Humans can't stand more then 120 decibels. More then enough to cause any creature to grab its ears in pain. Of course he needed the parts first.
We need a lock pick that's fine, but then what? We are currently weaponless and the only thing we have going for us is our armor. With this little ECM feedback device, if we have the parts which we should, we will be able to push through whoever the jailer. Outside of that we will have a nice ranged weapon until we get our weapons back at least.
Looking around Mono watched as everyone scattered from the door save for Sabo. Meanwhile Mono's systems where still being reworked as he toiled away on making his little ECM Feedback device.
"Anyone with spare parts. It would be nice."
"Well. . . I never use mine anyway. Here." Lana says, as she hands the headset+speaker to Mono.
". . . I still want to headbutt the lock."
"Then give your self a head injury and be done with it. As for me I will be working on getting our backup plan working.
With that said the sound of Mono taking apart and building the device was heard, slowly but sure getting himself a ECM feedback device for whenever there Jailer would return.
"You think I haven't headbutted metal before? Besides, My gremlin helm here should absorb most of the shock. . . It's suprisingly soft."
Lana charges the lock from the other side of the room, and headbutts the lock.
"I'm sorry, wha-" Meteko watched in surprise as Lana rammed her head into the door, possibly missing the lock entirely in the darkness.
Looking up Mono watched his Mini-map as the dunce started to headbutt the lock. In anger, the only sign he was angry, the three little red dots on his hood shrank in size.
"If the idiot wants to cause brain damage fine, just remove the chip first so we can fix it later. Also I am almost done, who has a backup cell for there suits power they are willing to part with?"
Looking down Mono was holding that looked like a can like object with the Microphone tucked somewhere inside. Meanwhile in the middle of the device was the speaker, tucked down and given a hollow area to reverperate the sound. The top had a small mesh covering a opening, from that point the sound waves would fire forth causing around a 130+ dB blast, more then enough to lay some one out after a minute or so of exposure.
[Saboteur backs away at the last second before Lana's head made impact with the door, he couldn't tell whether or not it was a success in the darkness but he certianly felt left out as no one is helping him with the lock picking.]
Saboteur:*turns to Lana* "Hey, easy there party girl. We don't want to mess up that beautiful face if yours, so why not give me you bra so I can make a pair of lock pick?"
Mono: *in monotone* "Who has a back up cell for their suit's power they are willing to part with?"
Saboteur: *gives Mono a back up cell hiddem in his mask* "That is all I got."
"Thank you."
With that said Mono went to work placing the cell into a mageshift cradle as to keep him from eletricuting himself in the process. Once he was finished he looked at the mini-map.
"Alright, who wants to the the first test subject. I need to make sure this works before we run into something or someone and find out its a dud."
Before anyone could implement their plan, the prison door opened, and five individuals stepped inside. Absent any kind of light, it was nearly impossible to tell who they were or what they looked like. One of them spoke in a deep, rumbling voice,
"Stand up."
Keeping his little project hidden Mono stood up, keeping his back to there captures. It was wise to keep his little trick as hidden for as long as possible considering the nature of the device.
"Do we at least get the name of our captures, it's only fair considering the situation."
Flicking off the red dots of his hood Mono turned around placing his hands behind is back, not only to hide his creation but to make sure he looked as least threating as possible considering he was not a warrior. After all if he had to use the device he might only get one shot before the energy cell dies.
???: "Stand up."
Saboteur: *turns to the source of the voice* "Sorry, I don't know who you guys are, but as a soldier, you will only expect me to give up my BIG 4, my name is Pythonne Silinnesky, spiral order demolitionist second class, serial number 2525147, date of birth is 20th of January..."
Pythonne Silinnesky, what kind of name is that?
I made it up... hopefully they don't start a torture session...
I would love to see you suffer...
Well, aren't you the sadist, Mezizas...
"This is not an interrogation. We already know who you are. And no, you will not be told the names of your captors. Now stand up; I will not ask you again."
"You hear us just fine, thats good it means you have working ears. Tell me what all do you know about sound?"
Mono sighed as he wait for other instructions, other then standing which he already was doing. At this point he was just glad to have the suit still on, it would be a bit of a nightmare for him if anything happened to it. Mostly where his health was concerned. Meanwhile in the back of his hand the device sat, if he only had one shot, best make it as close to the Jailer as possible for the strongest results. If he was lucky he might blow the mans ear drums out.
Come on, stand up people. I would like to get as close as possible before I use this thing.
Violet, who had tried her best to ignore the situation, especially when the perverted guy spoke up, instantly perked up at the opening of the cell door.
She was seething angry, and listened with constrained anger as the mysterious men commanded then to arise. The creepy man spoke up in reply, claiming his name was Pythonne. This only furthered Violet's anger, for his name sounded really dumb and she swore she would have remembered it. Only feeling ire for everything that was happening, Violet stood up, irate that she had no other choice.
"You going to drag us out screaming like you did with Fiora? Why do you need us to stand up for that? Planning to do something worse?" Violet spat at them with contempt. Maybe if they came close enough to her, she could punch them to calm her nerves.
With the door open, the drums were inevitably louder, and every beat filled her with a fear that seeped through her ears and into her mind. Hopefully, whatever the other members had been doing would help them escape.
Meteko held his hand on the sheath of his katana, wary of this new lady. "I didn't know you could own territory up on the surface," he added, jokingly. "If I did, I would have moved out of Haven long ago."
