I was hoping if any of you pros here could give me a bit of insight on this.. I recently got a Flamberge recipe and went ahead and gathered everything needed. Now I have two used Flourishes – a plain lvl 4 one and an UV lvl 8 +low damage constructs one.
Which should I pick for crafting? If I make the lvl 8 a flamberge, would the earlier UV trait carry over? Also, supposing my 10% UV crafting chance hits, will it be able to get another UV trait – or would the chances for getting it be lowered?
I’m not really happy with the +dmg on constructs currently. And since it does piercing damage, it doesn’t make much of a difference as that’s weaker to constructs anyways. Advice would be appreciated :P
but here's what I would do.
You are correct in that having a damage versus constructs on a piercing weapon is not all that great. I would drop that low UV and try for something different on that flourish. You might get lucky. Even if you don't, you'll have a functional weapon that won't be an embarrassment when it's 5*. I remember seeing someone with a low undead UV on an acheron; I wonder at what point he (or she) got that uv. Maybe on the last upgrade?
I had a low fire resist on my miracle hood, which already has a decent fire resist stat already. My miracle cloak did not have a UV. When I upgraded them both to grey feather, I took a shot at new UVs for both. I ended up with two pieces with no UVs and have no regrets.
Always play to the strength of a weapon rather than trying to minimize a weakness. You could say the same thing about life.
