Depending on the mode,
Depending on the mode, vanaduke has about 50k HP at least.
Water does 10? Dmg per 4 seconds. So thats 50000/(60*60)
Which is 5.55 hours.
I dont recall the damage data for water tho, so it might be more. But 10 hours is sufficient time between server reboots, to give a generous time buffer.

Is it only 4 seconds for a water to respawn? My thought is that he isn't going to just stand there and let you hammer away at him with the water ball, he's going to angrily mash you and everything else. So you'd have significantly less DPS than you would if he were somehow kind enough to let you hammer away.

That is way too difficult, especially for non-bombers. You would need to time where you place your bombs right for the switches. But okay, if anyone does that, then they are truly the---oh, I don't know, Spiral Boss?

Because that shoots water and I've definitely killed Vanaduke using only that several times by now.
That is actually possible to do, but requires a lot of time and patience. So it's not really a difficult challenge if you have patience at least.
