The Hipster is a powerful being.

To dress like a Hipster you need to go Hipster. Start off with skinny jeans such as Almirian Crusader Armor for its skinny legs. If you find an alternative you can wear that (though Almirian is the skinniest). To lose the evil entity of the Almirian Armor, you need to add special accessories that mask its un-hipsterness. I would suggest a scarf to the helm you're wearing to start off. Play around with accessories on your Almirian Armor and see which looks most urban on it.

For the helm you could try wearing anything people don't wear. I wear the miner hat for its beauty. Try adding round shades (no glasses) to your hat and a scarf. Be simple and don't overload.

And don't wear a shield unless PVE.

If you have full inspect make sure you have no weapons on you. You can always keep these in check by creating your Hipster load out.

How to act like the Hipster.

Hipsters go for things that people don't go for. Farm missions but not The Gauntlet or Firestorm Citadel. Too mainstream. Try Occurrence at Owlite Keep or for bossing try Operation: Crimson Hammer. When in LD dress like the Hipster, maybe wear a level 6 Frozen Butcher Knife from the chef event with level 7 armors sure as your Almirian Armor and maybe a rock jelly mask with a toupee, scarf, and round shades.

Show off your Hipster. Spread. Guild-ify. Reproduce. Let the Hipster populate.

May the lesson of the Hipster teach you well. Amen.

two notes

An Occurrence at Owlite Keep is one of the most lucrative missions (data). Operation Crimson Hammer is extremely lucrative if you have extra 5-star orbs around to craft and sell Perfect Mask of Seerus. Other than that, your satire is fine.

I believe you also need to have the Very Short height modifier on your character as well.

The plate armors are more hipster than Almirian Crusader.. legs the same size too
Although when comparing leg sizes (why am I doing this) I noticed the sarong has larger legs than the trunks...

As someone who wears mercurial mail+helm or skolver+kat eye mask (the 4* one), wielding Sudaruska, Flamberge, Iron Slug and Virulent Catalyser in lockdown while sporting a Volcanic Pepperbox, Plague needle and Volcanic plate mail for PvE-

am I doing it right?

And if I found we’re perfect I imagine it, I don’t even know <69

Another obvious requirement is to trick the GMs into giving you shadow expresso... but you have to be quick, because it only counts if you get it before it is cool.

Baron-Von-Blubba.

The Hipster does not brag. The Hipster only keeps his or her thoughts to self. The Hipster also refrains from mainstream slang. TIL is not natural. We Hipsters do not say TIL (pronounced til) in life. We say, today I learned. Even that phrase is used for joke / mischief use.

How to be hip?

A Knight does not get more hip than a full set of Plate Mail along with a Wingmillion, Heavy Decon, and maybe a Big Angry Bomb. Also, the Heater Shield or Scarlet Shield are the best options for PvE. Swift Strike and Owlite is too mainstream.

Heading into PvP with the Guardian class and a Sudaruska is sure to get you all that hipster attention. It will also make people laugh at you, until you kill them while they rage about lag.

Move over, there's bubble-wrap to be popped!

In five years, the whole world with turn into hipsters, in which people will use every armor and weapon except brandishes, pulsars, and skolver because they still think it's too mainstream, then some random person will put on skolver armor and spam brandishes and pulsars saying "Yo, I'm so hipster that I put on different armor that nobody uses," in which everyone will follow them as they realise that nobody does use them and they aren't mainstream anymore and soon everything will be back to how it was before there were hipsters, and then the cycle repeats

With most of the population of sk trying to be cool with like they special snowflake they think they are, mainstream stuff would then become hipster and vice-versa. A never ending cycle, really.

@Sir-Crazee-Pi Your cycle

@Sir-Crazee-Pi

Your cycle assumes that people are using the optimal alternatives that supposedly have equal effectiveness.

For example, if people switch between chaos clone, bkc clone, or skolver clone (Snarby looks too BA to be clone material), all of them are using damage optimized gear.

However, if someone uses dread skelly, everyone won't flock to it, because it sucks. The extra shadow defense is barely useful, and you lose normal defense. Freeze is kind of helpful, but poison not so much (except for fighting Contri, who occasionally uses a poison bomb).

In this sense, being hipster would involve using gear that is not and most likely won't be in the cycle of powerful gear, not just using what other people don't use.

Now someone go get 30k damage in a dread skelly set and prove me wrong

@Octaslash the optimal alternatives are too mainstream, what kind of Hipster goes for effectiveness over what nobody uses?

Hipsters would rather go for Dread Skelly instead of Snarby, Ice Queen instead of Skolver, Mad Bomber instead of Chaos, Volcanic Salamander instead of Vog, because nobody would be using those other ones anymore, they will become cool and everyone will switch to it, but soon switch back in a never-ending cycle is another way to say it

Actually, hipsters would take Royal Jelly over Ice Queen. And that includes the shield.

You guys are all wrong. To

You guys are all wrong. To truly be a spiral hipster, you must have the mind, heart, and soul of a hipster, in the game and out. You must play the game wearing your hipster clothes while decorating your SK knight in the traditional hipster garb. You must only use weapons and armor sets that only deal normal damage, and have normal defense with poison and curse defenses. When playing, you must turn off the game music and listen to traditional hipster tunes, such as: Gogol Bordello and Man Man. You must also speak the traditional language of the hipster: Pig Latin.
