No doubt there are lots of good suggestions that are being overlooked because the developers have better stuff to be working on. Wouldn't it be nice if people can start coding their ideas on their own before submitting it to you for review? All you have to do is make a portion of the game open source.
Replace all the sensitive code with empty methods, but keep the overall structure of the code. This allows players to see what is feasible and what isn't. People who are familiar with java can also write semi-pseudocode which should be easier to integrate into the game. Since OOO is an established game studio, I assume you have some sort of software for writing and testing new content. Can we have a little access to that?
Many players are frustrated with the rate of development in this game. They can't understand why it takes so long for a significant update. There are so many suggestions in which a person thinks "oh they can just make a flag for that", when in practice it is probably much more complex. If you can even show us the game structure/documentation, it would make us* more sympathetic and helpful in our feedback.
*"us" meaning those of us that can code.
OOO has already refused Zeddy's help. once again, I think that OOO is very secretive about server info, and that could be discovered if they do something like this. besides, I think they could leave themselves open to attack from hackers and such.
