this is technically a gun update, wouldnt be surprised if OOO secretly snuck in the entire gunner update with it and the normal damage was intended so they could "fix" it later
In programming, there is no big shiny "fix this error" button. Identifying the existence of a bug does not mean the cause is readily apparent, nor a fix for it.
I'm sure they know about it, and most likely haven't come up with a suitable way to fix it yet.
Well guys. They release another useless, completely useless, update. On top of that I can't log on!!!!! *rage* WHY!!!!!!!!!! GRRR LET ME ON SK.

From this what I seen in files they're probably using the same code for all guns collisions and just forgot to put it into Mixmaster.

lol, but really, if it's anything like how the previous similar bugs have worked before (ex: using DA to hit through walls), it's an issue with setting the offset of where the projectiles spawn and how they behave when they collide with walls.

Ye, I browsed some files with code. I'm not Java expert, but I guess there is just need to bind to bullet flags of things they need to colide instead ignoring it.
inb4 wall collision fix ruins ability to charge the gun while back is facing a wall.
I'm pretty sure they fixed that issue on the test servers for the Gunner Update

since the bug is on the normal attacks, it would be for the normal attacks too
Put it this way.
They announced that the wall-charge issue was fixed for Antigua guns during the last test period.
But what really happened is some of the Antigua guns were fixed better than others.
Make of that as you will.
