Ive noticed bombers have decreased lately :,( why does every person see the "Powerful vanguards" and want get the same armor and weapons. True sword have a TON of damage output but hey, we need support players who spam Shivermist.

This is why we can't have nice things like Retributioners destroying Compounds. You see Bombers as supporters, I see them as viable teammates, just like Gunners and Hybrids.

Bombers actually have a much easier time with base stats than do swordies/gunners, as they only have one stat that matters (ctr) and one other stat that helps out (damage), combined with the fact that all of their bombs start with +2 CTR. For swords and guns, you need to maximize one of the stats in particular for each weapon, but it varies quite a bit.
Most of the players I see (the ones that have gear) don't play as "bombers" or "swordmasters", they play as hybrids of various sorts. I myself don't have a class.

Yes, there are few purist class players (well maybe aside from gunners because they can do good damage and have distance), but I disagree that most of the players are not stereotypical "bombers" or "swordsmasters". What I see are the vast majority of players using other weapons for specific situations to fill in gaps that their general-use weaponry or ability cannot do. Many Swordsmen will predominately use swords until when faced with gun puppy heaven then they'll use guns, or bombers will use a sword to extricate themselves from a sticky situation. In the general case, many players do act like swordsmen, bombers, gunners, but in specific situations they may have weaponry or tactics to overcome that certain hard situation. If players generally use different classes of weapons to clear enemies, then sure they're hybrids. But usually I see that other class of weapon tucked away for the rainy situation.
What I'm trying to say is that there's generally no synchronization between the different types of weapons.
The biggest problem for going pure bombs is the single target dps, and then the next problem is overall dps. It can be tricky to move, place bombs, and manipulate your enemies into optimal blast positions. Also, a lot of times people don't like it when the bomber spams blast bombs, and they're actually supposed to do nothing and stand around to help the team.
For example, I run Irontech Bomb and Valiance on one of my alts. When the elite wave spawned in a D28 arena, I spammed my bomb when some of my teammates had already hit mecha-knights with their sword charge attacks, so my bomb that does less damage was only chaotically pushing these guys around and was detrimental to the situation.

I am a very Malleable player,
I am a very Malleable player, I can bomb, gun, or sword, thus I have some understanding of the early life of each (in fact I have Alts in which one only bombs and the other guns)
Short of Compounds or Vana Parties you don't really "Need" a bomber to do well. Not to mention that Bombers only have one type of defense (elemental/normal), not counting event armor (kat hiss), means that anyone who looks at the armor sees an unvaried group of armor sets.
New players aren't given many bomb choices either, just tiny status blast bombs, anything else they get has such a small radius they don't see the value of investing such a weak weapon. Not to mention that certain early bosses punish bombers heavily. The Collector moves a lot, and Battlepods have such a small window of opportunity that no early bomber can finish that battle easily, even the early level "blades of the fallen" has lost souls and greavers constantly bombarding those poor guys long before they get to the trojans.
I do not accept your premise, that bombing is less popular nowadays. Bombing seems no more or less popular than ever.
Also, not all bombers are support players who spam Shivermist. Some of them are primary damagers with (for example) Dark Briar Barrage and Dark Retribution.
