Ive see people on YouTube are insulting Sentenza and saying carbine is way better. They say carbine's charge is a lot more efficient... But Ive hardly ever seen people use the Antigua line charge attack anyway. I personally like how Sentenza LOOKS better but OC's noise and poison status are awesome. Plz share what u think.

already a thread on front page of Arsenal

There have been many threads on Sentenza vs. Obsidian Carbine. For example, there is already a thread on the front page of Arsenal. As I explained in your other Arsenal thread today, you can use Google to search for threads about this stuff. Try "sentenza obsidian site:forums.spiralknights.com".

You are right that few people ever use Antigua-line charge attacks. In all of these threads I recommend Umbra Driver. Also keep in mind the "impending" gunner update.

On one of my alts, I have a Blackhawk.
One pro that I really love about the Blackhawk charge, is the range on the thing. Did you know that the range on the final bullet of the charge attack goes as far as a Gun Puppy can see and shoot? If you have enough distance for that, you can bait the puppy to shoot, sidestep half a block, then safely pick off the puppy with charge attacks.

I'm personally going to keep my Blackhawk the way it is, I'm not going to sacrifice my lvl 10 CTR Med and damage. I'll just make something that is either too OP that CTR doesn't matter, or a junk weapon for the Rank mission.

If you actually want to use the charge attack, and you have Radiants, whatever. If you don't care about the charge attack, and don't have radiants... I'd recommend the Obsidian Carbine for it's uniqueness as a poison weapon, as if you don't get your 5* weapon lvl 7, it does less damage than your old 4* lvl 10.
Otherwise, I support Bopp's points.

I have both and I can say

I have both and I can say that the charge of the OC is better.... why? Look at then both, OC has poison and Sentenza has gremlin Med. Since when have gremlins ever stayed still long enough for a sentenza charge? The most common victims of Antigua charges are slow monsters (slimes, constructs, and undead).

The poison of the OC also helps combat the greatest gremlin threat of all.... Menders, if you get that poison to stick then the Mender actually aids you in killing that enemy (poison reverses healing).

Still the OC's chance of getting poison on regular shots is low but it is much better at killing gremlins than the other shadow/poison weapon.

Honestly, I'd rather bring Sentenza if I can't get more than DI VH on my OC. The poison chance is just kind of awful. That said, if you can only pick one, OC is probably the better choice since it's very much possible to exceed DI VH.

@Krakob

As awful as the poison chance is- would you really rather have gremlin med? Even when fighting gremlins, who are weak to poison?

If it's a matter of say, poison+DI VH and DI Max, I think I would pick Sentenza, yes. I use Antiguas primarily as a tool for inflicting damage when ranged and repositioning as well as for picking off low health enemies. They're not my preferred weapons for sustained fire.
