I have a voltedge, who's name is sparky, and an obsidian crusher, who's name is creepy tentacle ghost bomb. Instead of using an electron vortex with combuster on fcs how about voltedge with OC? Will I still be able to get them to stop attacking me while I poison or what?

How about Voltedge with Electron Vortex?

don't know, but

I don't have a strong opinion/knowledge, but thanks for sharing your weapons' names. They're quite nice.

I haven't done the math, but I'm not sure that the poison would make that huge of a difference, given that zombies are resistant to poison and the bit where you'd be losing a huge amount of damage by switching from electron to crusher.

Considering that Shock damage

Considering that Shock damage IS affected by poison this could be a viable stratagem. I already use a VT and Obsidian Crusher for the shock spread damage.

Considering each status this could be a very fun defensive strategy to use while dealing nice damage to groups.

For Vortexes in general it is best to place them between the enemies and you (just to be safe), once they are shocked though you can feel safer risking a close range bomb plant.

Ok definitely go Voltedge

Ok definitely go Voltedge plus Electron.

The Hentacle bomb's poison would not make up for the EV damage, and Voltedge would ensure shock, which would make it slightly better than combuster when paired with vortex bombs.

Obsidian Crusher's poison doesn't work very well, the poison comes later when it finished sucking.
Meanwhile, you want the poison status during the vortex for boosting brandish damage.

I agree, unless you are going to use no knockback weapons with it ( a VT ) then your brandish blasts have a fair chance of knocking things apart, for the "crusher/shock" to work things can't be flying around.

Still, it is a fun, risk filled strategy (which I love)
