I'm tired of my knight wearing armor ALL the time. For example when I'm in the GH or in Haven, I want to look civilian. And because it's unconsiderable that idea for civilian clothing, would be accepted, I'm asking what items (armor, helmet and accesories) look most like I just want to have chat with my friends.
What items look most like civilian clothes
Personally I don't think hoods and cloaks/mantles look much like proper battle-ready armor. Same for most of the Gunslinger family. And if you can get past standing on your toes 24/7, I've found in one of my own costumes that Gremlin Suits look pretty casual, albeit with some very light armor plating.
Perhaps you should check the costumes and armors yourself on the wiki, because I believe you can only find opinions here on the forums (beyond a small handful of items that undeniably don't look much like armor).
Trojan body + cupcake hat
Is the standard casual getup for the knights.
I personally think the Vitasuits don't look too much like actual armor. The Cloaks and Ponchos are you main choice of casual clothing. As for helmets, Hoods are really the best thing there is.
For Accessories, you probably just want to check out the wiki, as there is a lot of them. Glasses, Pipes, Scarves, Toupees and Mustaches (to an extent), Canteens, and Vitakits are some regular items I can name off the top of my head. I also like the Headband and Helm Guards combo (though this was made rather obsolete with the addition of proper headphones).
Accessories are better at making your knight look civilian than wearing certain armor, I think.
If you have deep pockets, the one serene costume would be what you're looking for. Otherwise, try Elemental Hood/Mantle or something.
Splash sets, silvermail/angelic, field (and other) caps, flak jackets, scale mail, and draped armor. Grey feather set because; lorewise; it's super soft!
Proto gear, perhaps, since it's the most "basic," though I also like the suggestions of the Magic Cloak lines.
The Flak Jackets to me always looked pretty casual, too, but those aren't always easily obtained unless you're okay with Frosty/Hallow or a pricier costume. As for helmets, any of the Tailed ones look pretty casual to me, but I understand why some players may not be interested in those. ;3
Look, me, that's not right. Splash trunks are where it's at!
(TBH, I accidentally said Serene; I meant Splash.)
I'm not sure about civilian clothing, but I usually just wear my proto armor as a costume wherever I go.
