After a long discussion on trade chat, several fellow knights came to the conclusion that the only real solution to the CE inflating tactics is to add a vendor with a fixed price, essentially making it the maximum price. We believe that the most fair price seems to be about 5k crowns or so, so a vendor would be good at 5.5k or something along these numbers. Anyone who agrees should comment here stating so, and give any feedback or ideas he has.

We're just an order of knights trying to get to the Core in order to leave this blasted planet. Let's not make this worse than it needs to be.

better if 4.5-5k?

i think it would be better if you lower it from 4.5k-5k since getting 5.5k might be too hard for the new people on the game, but i agree with you! limiting it could help everyone specially for the newbs.

I think this would help, but

I think this would help, but Three Rings probably wouldn't implement that, because CE is their ONLY source of profit right now.

Honestly though, with the right planning, you can go from T1 to T2 in about 2-3 days. It's really not that hard.

I say 4.5k-4.7k or an even

I say 4.5k-4.7k or an even 5k. As a paying player I get to weigh in on this. 5k is pretty fair but slightly lower won't hurt.

Keep in mind, player-bought

Keep in mind, player-bought energy is what runs the market. The whole deal is to add a vendor selling slightly above "fair price", so that the market cannot go far from the fair price. So, if you think players should buy energy for 5k, the vendor would have to sell for 5k+ a bit, making the market stay reasonable yet alive.

But having vendors selling CE

But having vendors selling CE will mean a lesser amount of players purchasing CE with cash as crowns is another option of getting it. please note that many F2P players have lots of ways on getting huge amount of crowns and they can just use crowns to buy CE and lesser customers for three rings. Gradually new players will learn the " way of making crowns " and there will be even lesser P2P players. Not only this, if CE can be bought with crowns, the rise of godly UV equips will increase and making this game easily bored as Max UV and 5 star equips can be gotten without purchasing CE.

Prices keep rising, and as

Prices keep rising, and as someone else noted, Haven grows emptier by the day. It seems more and more people log in less and less often, since the crown price of progress rises, and therefore the speed of progress slows. Sure, OOO need P2P players, but with that few F2P ones, the game will become too empty even for them. A price cap would keep the economy running healthily, and even a cap higher than worth it would give players a feeling the game is still monitored and cared for. As conceived, the CE system would cause CE cost to rise a bit, boosting CE purchases, increasing offer and decreasing demand, dropping the price, decreasing purchases, decreasing supply and increasing demand, boosting the prices, boosting purchases and so on, essentially a self-monitoring system for OOO's income. But this inflation is artificial, and therefore unbalances the system. Even if OOO's earnings increase for a bit, the game will end up more crushed than the Skylark...

Perhaps it crashed due to a riot on energy prices?
