Things that vials can do:

1) Break FSC wheels if thrown head on
2) destroy Roarmulus rockets if it hits their hitbox
3) Furthest hitting projectile aside from pots and water and such
4) (Patched) Get noobs into T3 if they weren't equipped

Anything else? Imma add anything you guys put down

increase prize drop rate from prize wheel

By filling all four pickup slots and ending the level in perfect health, you can guarantee getting crowns/material reward from the prize wheel. So it pays (slightly) to manage your vials well.

6) Nullify incoming projectiles
7) Make teammates have a harder time dealing with oilers/quicksilvers
8) Hitting switches or ghost blocks out of weapon range (Looking at you, Ironclaw Munitions Factory)

9) Freeze enemies to blocks teammates' path of escape
10) Stun enemies that launch projectiles at other party members to distort timing
11) Raise mecha knight's shield (T2-T3)?

13) Celebrate elevator travels.

14) Encourage tactics of running into a sizeable mob of tightly-cluttered enemies with a vial in hands for a risky but effective spread of status affliction.

15) Retain mobility when a task window (such as a trade window) that would hold a knight in place in (busy stance) is open. Vial has to be held.

I know that, sort of

You can hit both switches from one spot (the ones that disable the shock pads on the first floor's walkway that is bombarded with rockets) with vials and/or pots. I always just chuck pots at the switches after we've cleared both sides and activated the shock pads.

And Batabii, that is why I bring a driver-line with me just about everywhere. :P

16) Solving that prize box puzzle in clockwork tunnels with ghost blocks that either connect to the prize boxes or to a wall in front of them when approaching from above. I throw a vial towards the prize box and if I don't hear the box pop sound then I know there's a wall in the way. :P

17) Throw them against someone else throwing vials in an attempt at a collision.

my 2 cents

Can't believe this is gonna be #18 and not sooner

18) You can cancel charges by popping a vial, usually faster to throw a vial than to unload your gun and do whatever you wanted to do (using a pill or a remedy doesn't work, neither does mecha knights, recon flare and the barrier, only vials can cancel charges)

That trick is pretty nifty in vana with no ASI on blitz (ASI makes you take control of your knights faster than having none). You walk in a patch of flame, pop a stun/psn vial, throw it at vana, water yourself... Win/win situation

@melonfish I never tried that, but then again, I never needed to. Can't you just hold shield to move with the menu open?

@fangel yeah but they're harder to aim, and I don't really like them for fighting, especially when my WSU is expired

@ Fangel

Do howlitzer heads count as projectiles?
If not then,

#21 Vials can blow howlitzer heads up.

Sort of...?

Howlitzer heads are more like rockets, but sorta work.

But I mean, you can use any sort of attack on a Howlitzer head technically. I wasn't aware those insta-killed the heads. (Usually two magma driver shots do the trick for me)

indeed

Yeah, yeah, the heads can be shot down or blown up, hell even well-timed sword charges can finish them off, but if I have a few useless vials, I always tend to get rid of them (both the vials and heads) this way. :D

You do need to wait a moment after the howlitzer is 'dead' tho, before throwing a vial, othervise it won't do anything to the head during this brief stage.

And one more:

#22 Vials can make the drones change their direction. This can also push the shankles/wisps if thrown perpendicularly, similar to pushing them w/ keys/statues.

Lmao.

I'm pretty sure that "fireworks" is the most common use of the item XD.

26.) You can throw vials to pick up pills and better consumables that aren't primarily garbage.

Nothing is scary if you add Tetris music!

27) Pretend they are drinks and "drink" them by throwing them away, afterwards pass out because you just drank a sleep vial
28) Turn the ATH into a glitterfest where you can't go anywhere without picking up a vial (REMOVED)
