Do Treasure CChests still drop Weapons?

I've been hunting for a Darkfang Shield (Okay, you may laugh) for an entire week spamming deconstruction zones/gremlin themed/you name it etc. STILL NOTHING FOUND! I remember in the past chests used to drop weapons and armour, a friend of mine found a strike needle back in JK in 11, a dude got a virlisk suit in 11 and a remmeber i found a brandish in 12.... Do chests still drop weapons / armour? Have OOO patched that? And have any of you guys found anything this / last year? Cuz... idk if boxes drop anything these days
