Gunz for dummiez

For better info go here Gunna guide
Guns are weapons in spiral knights, like their real life counterparts are used for long ranged combat. There are a few types of guns in spiral knights. There is the blaster, the alchemer, the antiqua, the pulsar, the catalyzer, the magnus and the auto gun. As with swords and bombs, they have various alchemy lines.
Contents:
Blasters
Alchemers
Autoguns
Pulsars
Catalyzers
Magnus'
Antiguas
Blasters
Blasters are one of the 6 (5?) things you are given when becoming soldier. There is currently in-game 2 alchemy path for the blaster. blaster>super blaster>Master blaster>Valiance. Take a look (You might want to check out the other line as well)
Blaster
super blaster
master blaster
valiance
Advantages: The blaster will slightly push back foes as well as damaging them. It is also a powerful Lockdown Weapon.
Disadvantages: The blaster has only 3 shots in a clip. It is slow and weak.
Alchemers
Alchemers are the spiral knights counterpart of pistols. (I think) There have 5 alchemy paths. The prismatech, the cryotech , the firotech, the voltech and the shadowtech
Prismatech alchemer
Voltech Alchemer
Firotech alchemer
cryotech alchemer
shadowtech alchemer
Advantages: The charge attack is incredibly powerful. Shots bounce off anything solid
Disadvantages: 2 ammo per clip. Slow.
Note: I was lazy and didn't put in 3* 4* and 5*. Find those on wiki pages.
Autoguns
Autoguns fire very fast bullets that go in shape of a triangle from side to side. There are 4 autogun lines in-game. Blitz, plague needle, volcanic pepperbox and savage tortofist. Find em here. :)
Needle shot
Toxic needle
Pepperbox
Wild buster
Advantages: The charge of the blitz/Plague needle will kill Trojans and Vanaduke very quickly. The Wild buster line makes a wall that foes can't pass.
Disadvantages: The Pepperbox will likely set oilers and toxoils on fire. You cannot move while firing needle shot/toxic needle/pepperbox line. The wild buster line's normal attacks propel you forward and is dangerous near traps.
Notes: I did not put in 4* and 5* variants. Check em out on the wiki too. The wild buster line is only obtainable from March of the tortodrones.
Pulsars
Pulsars are defensive guns in that the shots can push back foes from a certain distance. They are the most noobish weapons in lockdown (><) and have two lines so far. Polaris and supernova. here are the 5*s.
Supernova
Polaris
Advantages: The pulsar is strong when at a distance and will absolutely destroy targets that way.
Disadvantages: It is slow and weak when close to targets. It has 3 bullets per clip.
Catalyzers
Catalyzers are similar to the pulsar in they are both bought from bark modules".The catalyzer is weak and would be absolutely useless if not for it's charge. The charge releases one bullet that on contact will start rotating a foe. Hitting the bullet with a catalyzer or any other weapon makes the bullet explode and damage the foe. Its useful but not strong. The 5*s.
Neutralizer
Biohazard
Advantages: The charge attack. (listed earlier)
Disadvantages: It is weak and slow.
Magnus'
Magnus is the spiral knights counterpart of a sniper rifle. It starts as a 3*. It is mainly piercing but for the iron slug that does normal. They are listed here.
Iron slug
Callahan
Advantages: It is strong and good in lockdown.
Disadvantages: It is slow and will propel you back with normal shot. 2 bullets per clip. Charge will not propel but shoot you back and you are on the floor for a second.
Antiguas
The Antigua is a gun that does piercing but actually does not have a 5* that does piercing. Instead it branches out to shadow and elemental. The argent peacemaker previously did piercing but was changed to elemental. They are right here! :D
Argent peacemaker
Sentenza
Obsidian Carbine
Advantages: It is quick and has 6 bullets per clip. The charge has 6 shots and an armoured bird is fired.
Disadvantages: The charge attack is slower than that of the blitz and you are vulnerable to foes.
Notes: The obsidian carbine can be obtained only from Apocrean Sigils.
Final notes. I have not listed all the guns. The ones I haven't are ones that are obtainable only in special events. Take a look at the wiki's gun list here: guns.
The gunner update.
The gunner update announced in October 2013. OOO aimed for a release in November. However they could not make it so they aimed for January 2014. Having not released it then, they said they could not say when it would be released.
Thanks for reading and have fun with your guns! :)

While it's good to want to post something helpful, wouldn't it have made more sense to wait until you were "done" (or close to done) with it before making a topic related to it?

Well I kind of started it there and then wanted to get on and play so xD.

I'm new in the forums. I apologize for the bad links. I did them all wrong :/

I don't wish to seem rude, but doesn't the gunning guide cover everything listed here in greater detail? Linking to it at the start and then giving a wattered down version of an existing thing seems a bit redundant.

I was too lazy to go into greater detail. This is for dummies. Really bad noobs. Lol its only the basics.

Huh? I didn't say anywhere that blaster has 3 shots. It has only two lol.

I think Gvdtok's point is:
* You say that Blaster/Valiance has a 2-shot clip.
* In reality it has a 3-shot clip.
I was too lazy to go into greater detail.
This happens with most guides that people try to write. A really good guide typically requires at least 10, and more like 100, revisions.

Just found out myself that blaster has a 3-shot clip. /sorry. I thought it did two. Yeah... I was a bit lazy xD.

A few things, actually.
You should consider separating tortofists as their own weapon type. They are originally crafted from a variety of sources, but are almost certainly not those sources. This is especially problematic because for this guide to cover all of the guns, you'd need to place them in with several dozen lines, and that gives the impression that they aren't just the same gun per differing damage types.
You should consider waiting for the gunner update, as it will change everything and make our wildest dreams come true or else we will find and "peacefully protest" against the king of SEGA.
You gave the magnus lines credit for something. Don't do that yet.

I was kind of just ignoring the thread since I'm already like, le master gunslinger and don't really need it, but decided to peek into it.
- The blaster has only 3 shots in a clip. It is slow and weak.
- (Pulsar) Disadvantages: It is slow and weak when close to targets. It has 3 bullets per clip.
- Just found out myself that blaster has a 3-shot clip. /sorry. I thought it did two. Yeah... I was a bit lazy xD.
- Hitting the bullet with a catalyzer or any other weapon makes the bullet explode and damage the foe. Its useful but not strong.
- (Magnus) Advantages: It is strong and good in lockdown.
etc.
Why are you writing a guide if you don't know what you're talking about? The whole guide reeks of lack of insight. The ones I listed are just some examples, and I'm only going to reply to some of them:
- ...how is blaster line slow, at all?
- 3 bullets is not a disadvantage - if anything, that's the normal amount of shots (2 shots would be 'bad', 6 shots from antigua lines is especially good)
- Catalyzer line has one of the strongest per-bullet charges (with max damage, Neutralizer's charge does 500 damage at depth 24). As far as guns go, they have the largest splash damage, making them good for tightly packed groups (works well with Vortex).
- You're going to go and say Magnus is good in Lockdown - but how? Does lack of mobility and the fact that it keeps you in place longer than a flourish swing mean nothing?
Sorry if this is a little spiky, but I absolutely despise spreading wrong or bad information, especially when giving info to new players.
good intent, terrible content.

This guide is best guyd. I am such noob to game. I don't even know hao to sword. I dye lotz. Halp

- Each Alchemers are their own weapon, meaning that some only have 1 path, others can have 2 (grim buster), and one has 3 (primal buster., Nog Blaster)
- Bias (Pulsar, Catalyzer)
- Still not finished; links for bottom aren't placed.

This thread is not helpful. And I suspect that it's not intended to be helpful.
Edit: The original post has been greatly changed since my post. So it is getting more helpful. We will see whether it offers something that the Gunslinger Guide (which isn't great in the first place) doesn't offer.
