I'll be honest, I don't think Lockdown is really fun-fun, but I get that there are players that think it is. Two of them are an officer in our Lionheart guild - Nishim (Bearer of the Blooms), and Veteran Vino-Rosso (Keeper of the Voice). And they did an incredible job leading Lionheart to its first ever finish atop the Lockdown leaderboard. Actually, we've been finishing in the top ten for about the last two months, but a slow week and little help from our friends gave us a chance to reach #1.

Special thanks to all those temporary members who helped make it possible, including but not limited to:

Darkcub (mi amor ~ ♥, El Bandito)
Dredio
Vile Hunter
Skeptics
Son-Of-Hades
Zaderules
Pwnswag
Beastor
El-Springer
Hyper-Chan

Good job all you ♥♥♥ Li☼nHear†s ♥♥♥ who spent the week battling it out in Lockdown.

Luv, Mayaura ~ ♥

Congratulations!

You won!

edit:
I will admit, I read this as A1 finish.

In that case, I would have congratulated you on your winning steak.

So what we see here is 2 people with no life and a LOT of subs, that's it? Okay.

@Shy-User

You can also get points without subs, that means nothing.

Also, why no life? They only have 23k points.

Lionheart isn't that good, the only way they can pull out victories against most guilds is using subs. (no offense)

Keeper of those leaderboards are usually just people who play a lot, wish leaderboards could mean more and not just playing matches all day.

Tbh, bleyu is right. 23k

Tbh, bleyu is right. 23k points is equivalent to winning 38 and a third of games. Which isn't particularly too much when spread over an entire week. Gotta point out though, what's the point of this thread though ? You've gotten #1 on then leaderboards ? That shows nothing other than activity(hence nobody cares). Its even less impressive to see that the guild required 10 sub's which is almost enough for 2 teams. So uh, what was the point again ?

killjoys

Either way, they have the bragging rights, and it was the first time their guild has achieved it, even with help.

Dismissing it is the same thing as me going
"oh, you're a striker and you hit 25k+ damage? that's just because you ran into more enemies than me/they were damage fodder and guardian etc"
"oh, you won the game? that's only because you're not playing for damage and i think damage is the only thing that matters in showing skill"
"oh, you're successful/rich/geared in SK? that's nice, I'm more successful/rich/geared IRL so you don't really matter"

@23k points aren't much
Considering how Darkcub was going all "SK died?!? no gvg!?! , that's pretty good considering there was less GVG activity now.

Yeah, you can chalk it to subs or lack of competition, but you know what? They got it and that's what they're celebrating.

I don't get the point of this

I don't get the point of this thread. Many guilds have gotten #1 (that they actually deserved it, without an immense number of subs) but I don't see them posting on forums "Road To First Place"

Getting 1st once is hardly an achievement. As long as you try and... (No need to finish that sentence.)

Getting long streaks on the other hand takes planning and at least 6 very dedicated players not having lives. Ofcourse having more than 6 players means less time per player.

I you have subs the guild it self has nothing to do with the achievement other than having lended its name for the leader boards showing the entire SK community had a spread of activity higher than any specific guild which already is obvious since the max limit of guild members is lower than the ammount of players in SK.

Hmm, call me 'no true scotsman', but isn't that how EVERY LD GvG match turned out (Jemp vs. 21)? Where some guy/gal on one side of the team lost their poops and start burning sparks?

PvP really brings the butt face out of all of us. Sometimes I wish that I could renounce my specie, but then I realize I am stucked in a pile of mindless apes know as humanity.

As someone who was there for plenty of Jempire vs 21 games, I can only say nope. Both teams kept a much higher skill level than AT combo and charge spamming. Thinking that they were like that, no matter one's reason, would just be silly.

Some responses

@ Krakob - Now do it for 110 weeks straight ;D

Gawd, I hope not!

@Contri - Damn., I thought you didn't care about LD...

I don't care, and I don't enjoy it. However, sometimes people in the guild want to do something as a guild or for the guild, and as Guild Master, I try to be supportive of their goals and help out in small ways if I can even if it doesn't really interest me personally.

@ Shy-User - Lionheart isn't that good,

I don't think we are particularly good as a guild either, but some individuals seem to play pretty well.

the only way they can pull out victories against most guilds is using subs. (no offense)

You don't need victories; you just need to play more than any other guild, basically. But many of our victories were also with just our regular members, too.

Keeper of those leaderboards are usually just people who play a lot, wish leaderboards could mean more and not just playing matches all day.

I agree.

@ Crazyachieve - I don't get the point of this thread. Many guilds have gotten #1 (that they actually deserved it, without an immense number of subs) but I don't see them posting on forums "Road To First Place"

What's the point of this thread?

Threads have to have a point?
Dang, hmmm, well, I guess . . .

When a group of people accomplish something together, sometimes it's nice to offer public commendations and thanks, which, I guess, was the point of this thread.

It certainly wasn't "bragging" since I pointed out that it was a slow week and we probably couldn't have done it without "friends".

Frankly, it's getting hard to even get GvG matches due to low activity amongst the player base.

And, yes, the leaderboard merely shows which guild played the most, regardless of skill. The fact that a "Non-LD" guild like ours could do it proves that point quite well.

Since this and Blastnetwork are the only non-solo achievements possible in the game, I just want to offer public congratulations and thanks to the group of people involved in, what was for us, a noteworthy achievement.

I wanted to be upfront about the subs in case anyone was wondering how a notoriously non-LD-playing guild managed to finished atop the leaderboard. I don't think allowing people to join you for a few games is as pernicious as, say, creating an alt guild to play against, which boosts your points and ranking, as some LD guilds do (and did for over 109 weeks ;D)

@ Midnight-Dj - PvP really brings the butt face out of all of us.

Everyone was a good sport in the 4-5(?) games I participated in. No one seemed all that emotionally invested in the outcome, and many typed "gg" win or lose.

@Mawashimono/Mayaura

I by no means saying that every LD player is a butt face (I think you know better than I that there are some ppl in LD who are just ****), however, after a crappy loosing streak, say, one guy on your team disconnect one minute into the game and two minutes later another guy do the same, get shocked over and over by VT spams and get smacked in the face by GF skolver clones, get called out for using AT polaris, one couldn't help but becoming a jerk to everyone.

LOL what are you talking about MIDDY? I never got angry over a loosing streak!!!

Oh, you may not have for now, but one day you will, either on this game or another. There is no such a thing as an eternally happy gamer, I never seen one in my entire life. Everyone will get angry at the game once in a while. You can say you detach your emotion when playing a game all you want, but then what is point anyway, weren't games suppose to make you happy while you invest your emotion into it?

Lockdown Guild

When I think "Lockdown Guild", I think of one of those guilds that don't really play anything together except Lockdown:
- Log on, nobody plays together
- Log on, 80% of the time everyone is in RLD
- People constantly leaving and rejoining because they're subbing for another guild to GVG.
- Guild dies and another guild pops up with the same people. (<-- wtf, so pointless)

They're very transient.

As far as I'm concerned, Lionheart isn't a full lockdown guild. It's closer to how The Jempire, where there was a larger community of players who cared more things other than PVP. Despite the flak that they got for how their main teams played in GVG, I doubt Lockdown made up a majority of their guild's focus.

Lionheart looks more like it's just picking up players who have an interest in it, to build that side of their community.
