So when someone gets the book of dark rituals, after they defeat Margrel, does the book owner still get a Black Kat Cowl? And does everyone get whiskers that's in the party? If so, does the book owner get more whiskers than the others?
Edit: Another question. Since defeating Margrel gives the party whiskers, does that mean the Book is now more valuable than the Black Kat Cowl?

The Book of Dark Rituals has always been more valuable than the Black Kat Cowl (ignoring the unbinding fee). Its extra value is the chance for you and three of your friends to fight Margrel. For most end-game players who are looking for a fun challenge, this extra value is positive.
Now the value of a Book is the sum of Black Kat Cowl + fun challenge + 2/3 * Black Kat Mail. So it is much more valuable than Black Kat Cowl (ignoring the unbinding fee).

One book = a little under 5 times as valuable as the black kat cowl alone, minus the effort to find 3 other people willing to pay to go on the Margrel express.
This is because it is worth black kat cowl + 4x black kat armors, as the 3* version is about as good as the 5* version due to the fact that resistances etc. are worth much less on glass cannon armor, as well as the bit where the 5* version costs effectively more than six times that of the 3* version, due to radiant fire crystals and it just naturally taking 6 times the crafting materials.
