I really want to join a Margrel party which is being hosted by others but then again, how do I know if they aren't trying to scam me?

Just deal with reputable people, if you are not totally sure about them, ask a popular knight online if they would be comfortable trusting them, there is no 100% way to be sure, but trust is key, if someone popular were to break a trust agreement, I would assume they are quitting and don't care, but I don't know any of my friends who would do that... Even if they were on the verge of leaving.

Princess-Cometas: as far i know you CANT post screenshots or put the name of the player that scammed you in forums (i know its a shame they dont allow us to do that) but you can report them so GM can investigate them and ban them only using /report scammername (for example if scammer name is paco then /report paco) and just follow the instruction in the report window.
Now about margrel runs: its a shame there isnt a way to trust a unknow party margrel invite because you have that risk of get scammed, some players have a bit of trust on you about pay them once the boss is defeated so always go in that option, so just pay after the boss is defeated
if you want some names of the people i did runs with them and they got paid after they defeated the boss were:
Phalconid (and his friend but i dont remember the name of his name)
Hunterxxy (but he bids the party slots so... be sure to have some money)
Leoncrixus (i think he ask around 6k Ce for slot but he at least is trusty)
i cant remember the name of the other dude but with them i did the 6 runs and never got scammed. you can ask them if they have more books because as far i remember the names of the guys i listed here sometimes gets another book to make more runs. so it dont harm to ask them again.
but the best thing you can do as others said in your thread: only pay after the boss is defeated and try to get runs with knights that have well know reputation.
