Hi everyone,

Here's Spiral-Connisseur's (pardon the incorrect spelling) LOADOUT THREAD!
Now I understand that there may be other loadout threads like this, but this one is mine and mine to keep and anyway I have yet to find one that is open to EVERY loadout :).
So this is the place to put your opinions or questions on anything loadout-related whether it be the for solo moneyrunning the Jelly King or for Lockdown or for Ice Maul Arena or for just that jack-of-all-trades loadout that we've been looking for since the beginning of time. *Just PLEASE keep it clean, non-accusitory, and loadout related*

I would appreciate it if you would classify your comments as follows:
~ specify tier/star level (if applicable)
~ specify scenario--specify if it has to do with a specific clockworks level, specific mission, specific bossfight, if it has to do with Lockdown, or if it is an all-encompassing set or if it has to do with elemental defense or dealing fire.
~ specify what part of what type loadout you're talking about--if it's a gunner, bomber, or swordie set, and if you're talking about the weapon slots, if so how many, etc. etc.

SORRY THIS IS KINDA COMPLICATED!! I just want specifics, because far too many comments are "i like BAB 4 JK cuz its so boss".

SO HAVE FUN AND TRY OUT SOME NEW LOADOUTS!!!

Perfect Mask of Seerus
Vog cub coat

DA
Blitz needle

Seraphynx (disintegration beam, iron heart attack, Valkyrian aura)
(sword CTR perk)
AT off

Good for lazily shoving back slags with sword charges or skillfully swiping at them after you sidestep their jumps. This set hails from way back in the day when DA was the elemental sword of choice, and now that you have a battle sprite to tag along things just get easier. Leaving the AT off lets you exploit certain places where you can take out wheel launchers with a patient chain of Blitz charges while allowing you to lazily tackle slag hordes with DA charges.

What you're describing is the entire Arsenal forum. You're trying to talk about so much at once, that you're not talking about anything at all.

Compound buster

Mad Bomber/Chaos Cloak set (volcanic demo in lieu of either)

Voltaic Tempest (for shock levels bring AOA)
Dark Briar Barrage
Obsidian Crusher (to be paired with VT)
Nitronome

Drakon ( Meteoric firebolt, scorching barrier, explosive firestorm)
AT (either)

Place a VT to slow down enemies then either go about using the vortex to pull them closer (so the shock damage spreads faster) or use the DBB to further the chance of flinch. The nitronome is for good solid damage and knockback when things get too messy. (when using AOA the vortex will not help with damage spread but the poison will prevent menders from messing up your game with healing glyphs)

I being a more all-around rather than bomber, I would suggest putting in a gun or sword to use if you get cornered or if you want to hit a button. I like the VT & Obsidian combo a lot. I'll have to try that in the field! I have a feeling that it may be useful for JK especially.

Yes, I know that it IS very broad, but the reason i did it was to see how to have fewer, more all-purpose sets by looking at the similarities between people's favorites. My goal is to have just one set (I'm just that sort of person) and I know it's a pretty far-out goal, but with everyone just running Chaos & Swiftstrike, I want to find a different set that is useful overall.

Seriously though, I agree with Bopp. This thread is essentially what this entire subforum is all about. If I'd like opinions on a specific loadout, I'd make a thread of my own. You aren't really presenting any directives for discussions in this thread, which is a problem because it's hard to understand what you want us to discuss here.

Spiral-Connisseur, have you tried searching Google for something like all-purpose site:forums.spiralknights.com? You'll find many threads to give you ideas. Enjoy.

I really just want to learn

I really just want to learn what people think and what ideas they have. There is really nothing in particular I want to learn, but as I said, I'm just curious and want to see what people say. Anyone who sees this can use it's information as they wish. For now though, I would prefer it if you would keep subjective judgements to yourselves.

Iron Slug/Callahan
Stagger Storm (CTR uv helpful)
Fiery Pepperbox

Seraphynx (disintegration beam, iron heart attack, Valkyrian aura)
Bomb CTR perk (if SS has VH ctr UV then Sword CTR)

An interesting game I play, I use the heavy sword to keep enemies away from my allies and use the Magnus gun to flinch enemies that are about to attack my allies. Use the Stagger Storm on levels where you can't reliably flinch enemies with the gun and in arenas. The Fiery Pepperbox combed with the Valkyrian aura lets you take out particularly dangerous enemies such as Rocket Puppies and Lumbers. When starting battles either prep by laying down SS or using your knowledge of a level to know where to plant a Sudaruska Charge.

Basically you use this set to help out new players while not making them feel completely useless (which is what happens when you show up in typical Chaos Cloak Hybrids and Brandish/pulsar everything)

The poor slimebomber set:

-Mad Bomber both parts
-Aegis

-Dark Retribution
-Venom Veiler

Maskeraith for MOAR POISON

Perfect to steamroll Royal Jelly palace even solo.

The poor supportvanabomber set:

-Volcanic Demo/mad bomber (for the brave)
-Crest of Almire

-Shivermist Buster
-Deadly Crystal Bomb

Despite shard bombs being utter garbage DCB is the only bomb that deals somewhat decent damage in Vana floors without messing with your allies' vision by summoning huge snarby or blue blasts.

I have a lot more of poor bomber loadouts because well, I'm a bomber and I'm poor.
