Ok, so, I've attempted to start a couple of fanfics or threads, none of which took off. Here's hoping I can keep up the motivation and creativity to finish this one.
Caedmon is a young knight who is known as trouble. Cocky, self-filled, but skilled, he has run afoul of the Spiral Order yet again... This is where his story begins.

Thanks for the offer. I'm thinking that whenever I get stuck, I will just give a couple of options and let the readers vote on what they want to happen. Not sure if that's a great idea...feedback would be appreciated.
Most fanfics seem to have these, so here we go:
Knights are Near-Humans. They have look much the same. Their eyes are glowing, like in the game, and they have various colors of hair.
All gear works the same as in game, just slightly rationalized.
Also, decent sized factor in the story: the Morai are the same race as the Knights, just a different order. They have similar equipment, but prefer to fight long-ranged, which means they do have rifles, which are basically adaptations of the Knights' handguns.
Alright, that should do it. I hope to post every couple of days. All of this is done on a Blackberry handheld, so please forgive any spelling errors or mistypes...

Ozlo sat in his usual seat, right in the middle of the bridge. He surveyed the crew, admiring their efficiency and skill. He had been lucky to get them on his ship during the Evacuation.
He turned as he heard the door slide open. A young knight wearing a Spiral Crescent Helm and Flak Jacket entered. His eyes were a light, almost seafoam green. His haughty demeanor almost instantly altered the atmosphere. Ozlo sighed as he saw a Spiral Warden entering as well.
"What have you done this time, Caedmon?"
The Warden answered for him. "He has again attempted to incite mutiny among the crew in an attempt to return to Isora."
"Oh, come off it. You know you want to as much as I do," was Caedmon's only rebuttal.
Ozlo stroked his beard uncomfortably. They had just entered orbit around what appeared to be a habitable planet, and the mood had been high. Now, he had to punish one of the more promising knights on the Skylark.
He turned to Caedmon. "I can no longer ignore the trouble you have caused. I have no choice but to de-"
He was cut off abruptly by an alarm activating. The Skylark shook violently, before slowly turning down toward the surface of the planet.
"What happened?", Ozlo asked one of the crew.
"It seems there was some type of energy beam that hit the ship. My personal recommendation would be to evacuate."
Ozlo grabbed an intercom. "All knights, report to the pods for evacuation." He turned to Caedmon. "You too. You're off the hook for now."
Caedmon smiled as he hurried to the pods. He knew Ozlo would never punish him. He got into one of the ship's elevators. The ride to the pods was maddeningly slow, but he was cheerful nonetheless. There was a small ding and the doors opened.
That was when the smile vanished. There were no escape pods left, and he was now the last knight on the ship. He turned to a viewport to see the planet rushing up at him. He had to find a way to ride it out...
Caedmon seems pretty mischevious, but it seemed like he became the only one on the ship really quickly.
The Spiral Knights came from the planet Isora, not Isola. A little nitpicky but its also a common mistake.
Great start, I'll be waiting for more.

Nitpick away! I made a few simple edits that hopefully fixed any problems. All criticism is valuable, so hit me with your best shot(just don't aim for the head or below the belt).
Lol, you should be glad that Caedmon isn't in my fan fic universe, Ozlo would have sent a hit squad to kill him as soon as Caedmon became a threat to him. And then they will dispose of Caedmon's body and pretend he never existed.
OMG, that is co cruel :(
In my lore, Ozlo is a shepherd, and he has no problem putting down the sick goats to prevent the rest of the herd from been infected.
