Actually, SK's GMs aren't allowed to participate in Lockdown for legal reasons. I don't know the details, but that's what Latisan said regarding GMs participating in Spiral Lights.

At this point it is just obvious that you're just looking for dumb excuses to make your "spirul knitz dededied orno?" threads, so heres my suggestion for you:
1) STOP.
2) Talk to your guild friends or ingame friends about how dead this game is and how much of a masochist you are for playing it.
3) make a thread showing all your epic UV'd items and then burn them all, so the community can agonize over the loss. Delete your knight and quit forever.(NO GIVEAWAYS!!)

the only things ive heard of about GMs recently are support ticket responses
(helping a guildie redo rotting metropolis after he restarted, we all lagged at once for 20 seconds, when we stopped lagging 2 drouls were stuck in place and invincible, I got Helios in with a support request and he advanced us to the next stage (and 1 shot the toxilargo))

It's not dead yet, but... I believe we're getting there.
The actual playerbase doesn't produce much revenue because it's pretty small for an MMO (well, to be fair SK was never a huge game to begin with, but it has certanly seen better times) and as such the staff is probably reduced to the bone and the few people left can't push out real updates quickly enough for the impatient hordes of players craving for more content, so instead are trying to maximize the income with eyecandy before dropping out of it and start working onto their next project, that's just my assumption at least.
It's a shame tho, SK is such a unique game it'd be a real loss if it were to shut down for real, so far I haven't found another MMO quite like it.

I have 17000+ CE in my account. Last time I logged in was Nov 2013. I logged in today, and the game is just balls. The devs (or executives at OOO/Sega) have ruined the flow of the game. All of these extra bits and pieces (orbs, radiant fire whatevers, pet food) required to level up your gear just sucks.
RIP Spiral Knights. I once had hope that you would do something interesting with the Core, but it's just been sitting there year after year. You are not fun to play anymore. Goodbye.

It would be such a shame if SK would really die (although it definitely hasn't yet!). It is 1 of the most infinite, fun F2P games there are, and it has very high ratings and positive reviews everywhere. All we can do (especially you Darkcub!) is being patient, keep playing, try to get new players and show your respect to the devs who are probably getting tired, annoyed and hopeless of all those stupid "SK DIED SK DIED AGAIN OMG SK DIED SK DIED 8.0" topics.
