In the AH,they're so expensive - most are around 6 k,and its' so hard to find them.I'm 5-2 and I want to make a Striker.Let alone that,I've done the whole Tier 2 Arcade and I have not got one single simple OR advanced orb of alchemy.Could anyone suggest a way to gt them without the AH or CE market? And with missions and arcades?
Advanced Alchemy Orbs - is it even possible to get them?
Read the third line of my post. And the whole problem I'm facing. The guide doesn't talk about countless hours of grinding in the part where it is suggested that you go on arcades and missions.
Nope.I want to know if they exist or not.In missions and arcades.
Sorry for the double post - Issue solved.I read about money making on the same page and I decided I'm just going to make some and but orbs with the money.
You can find all kind of alchemy orbs around too if you're patient enough, 3* and 4* orbs can be found from Jelly Palace and Roarmulus twins with a somewhat decent rate 5* can be found in vanaduke at also a decent rate, I got about 6 5* orbs in something like 30-40ish runs of vanaduke and about 4-5 mixed orbs in 25-30 mixed runs of Twins and Jelly king, I didn't collect any data so I can't provide a % of the droprate, they come from green crates btw.
I find it more efficient to play Snarbolax (Yes, I just said him) to find Simple and Advanced orbs.
Royal Jelly Palace and Ironclaw Munitions Factory, to me, very rarely drop advanced orbs, in favor of elite orbs.
Luckily, I believe, Gloaming Wildwoods is at the the very bottom of Tier 1, or stratum 2 for arcade. At that point, you have a higher chance of finding Simples, a relatively similar but lower chance of finding advanced orbs, and an even lower chance of finding flawed.
Advance orbs are cheaper to buy than to obtain from drops since their drop rates are comparable to higher level orbs and they are significantly cheaper (200 energy = 16k crowns = 5 RJP runs guarantee you 3 orbs).
The trick to getting a ton of orbs is to enjoy the game and play it often, in the correct area. If you enjoy the game, you won't mind the massive amount of grinding that it forces upon you.
For Advanced orbs, focus on playing D9-D12
For Elite orbs, focus on playing D14-D17
For radiant fire crystals, focus on playing D27 and D28.
Do not worry about: non-radiant fire crystals, or eternal orbs of alchemy, as these are far more common than their orb/crystal partners that are required in the same quantities. For simple orbs, buy from the supply depot, as they cost 50 energy per 3. That's like finding 2-3 of them per jelly king run. If you MUST do it w/out, just farm from around D4-D7.
If you aren't finding these things every run, don't feel hurt or offended. With a large enough number of trials, your orb drops will approach a normal distribution. If you have a 1/3 chance every run of finding an orb, then over time you should expect around 1/3 of your runs to have dropped orbs-- however, in the short run you are still very very likely to just not find orbs OR find them all the time.
Determinedelephant, you think that my FAQ response didn't answer your question, but it did. For example, here is a quote from my answer:
Of course, you can also find Orbs in the Clockworks. Read the wiki page Rarity to determine your best stratum. Then seek out missions and levels in that stratum that have many treasure boxes: danger missions, arenas, danger rooms, treasure vaults, etc.
Are you asking how to find danger missions? If you have access to them at all, then they're in the Prestige tab of your Missions window.
Are you asking how to find arenas? They're sprinkled throughout the Clockworks, including in missions. You just have to look for the arena symbol (a shield). Read the wiki article Gate to learn more.
Are you asking how to find danger rooms and treasure vaults? They're not in missions; they're accessible only through the Arcade. Read their wiki articles, to learn more about them.
After all this, have you decided to just buy the Orbs with energy/crowns? Good. That is the easiest way to get Orbs (except for spending real money). That's why it comes first in my FAQ response. Good luck and have fun.
I know about this market business and whatnot, but I was directing to the OP - hopefully you read his 4th and 5th sentence.
Here, I'll repost it:
"Could anyone suggest a way to gt them without the AH or CE market? And with missions and arcades?"
Perhaps you misunderstood from my "I find it more efficient" part of my post. I should've reviewed it more.
Last night while looking for elite orbs in elite jk, I ended up getting two advanced orbs in the first depth. I was so mad I threatend to kill a guild member every 30 seconds until I got an elite orb. However I ended up getting two elite orbs quickly after that so I'm happy :)
Advanced orbs are (compared to elites) not such as hard to find, especially if you find some arenas/treasure vaults. And (when the energy prizes start to lower again) you can get them for around 5000 cr/orb, what is not very much I think. The biggest problem is still elites.
What I think Three Rings should do is increase orb drop rate, but as a compensation, hugely increase mat costs. Most players have tons of 0-2* mats and also easily enough 3-5* mats to craft anything they want. This would also decrease the effectiveness of speed running a level, and make sure mats can be sold in the AH for more than 1cr/piece.
increasing the mat price where?
the vendors are made to scam you, the only way to up material prices is the make them more rare
inb4 5% drop rates
I meant the number of mats required to craft items. Even 5* items only require 5 1* mats. while everyone has tons of them. Decreasing mat drop rate is also possible, it would have the same effect.
