There are armor and helmet costumes, but there aren't weapon costumes. These, in short, would replace the model like an armor costume, but the properties of the weapon wouldn't change (I.e, I could make my Winmillion look like a Wrench Wand, even though it still behaves like a Winmillion.) Same idea with shields. Simple concept, I imagine it wouldn't be difficult to code. It also allows you to "use" the weapons from the Deluxe Starter Pack after you clear T1.

Thoughts on this?

hehe lol I use a winmillion and wrench wand in lower tiers

I like the idea but have the toggle thing (where it showed the picture and says the name of the wep) stay as the non costume one

its gonna be hilarious killing vana with what looks like a proto gun but is a blitz (keep the bullet and sword shot things animation)

Your comment... It's...

The idea is like costume armors. If you don't want people to know what weapons you're using or what armor/helms/shields you are using, you can turn off full inspect. The weapon and the torodrone shields will be a giveaway in the Clockworks though, as the effects of the weapon/shield don't change. For example, you can have a Blitz Needle disguised as a Proto Gun, but it will still shoot like a Blitz Needle (Maybe Valiance?).

No thanks.

Costume shields are a maybe. With the addition of unique shield bashes it might be odd to see a tortodrone suddenly appear out of a proto shield, but shield costumes would be neat, as often shields themselves are used as a costume, and won't be affecting the style of play your teammates use.

However, costume weapons is a big no. Weapons are supposed to be used a certain way, and many have unique attributes. If you're holding a venom veiler, I don't expect it to explode and deal stun. If you're holding a divine avenger, I expect you to use singular, wide hits, not swing your heavy sword around like a cutter. If you use a blitz needle, I expect you to charge shot things, not switch shoot with your nova driver.

Besides, we have weapon reskins in the market because those weapons look different but act the same, and don't perform in some ridiculous way.
A good team will synchronize their weapons to their fullest, and rely on the model to know what their teammates are holding and using. No player will care what their teammate is wearing in terms of defense, as that will never directly affect them. It all comes from offense, and in this case, is too limiting. This idea would also trick lower tier knights into grabbing a certain weapon because of a costume another player had. "Oh, the cold iron carver is great!", only to find out it was a costume of a brandish.

Also, players are never seen holding their weapons in haven. Making a costume version would be useless. If you want to hide your weapons, turn off full inspect, and run the clockworks with people you trust.

Remember kids! PVP always destroys costumes.

This was only a silly idea I came up with a while ago, but I can see your point. It couldn't possible ruin PVP though, you might notice the in PVP, the player can't wear costume armor or armor as a costume. I was mostly thinking about 1 Star Weapons that are basically useless once you get the get the way better 2* and 3* items. But it's like seeing someone wear the Chaos Set with no UVs, seeing them take status effects and not die, saying to yourself: "Wow! Apparently status weaknesses aren't important!" only to find the guy was actually wearing the Grey Feather Set. Not saying the Chaos Set is bad, but it's horrible when you get set aflame or shocked. My point is you can trick people into thinking a crummy armor is good in the same way. And again, after you've used the stuff from the starter pack (Minus the Tri-Guard Armor) it's pretty much useless, and they become dust collectors.

I do have another idea to make poor star weapons more powerful... but I'll make another topic on that. Also, you can only disguise swords as swords and so on.
