How to get an avatar for the forums

Greetings to you all fellow knights.
Just a small question. I have noticed that many people have an avatar however I do not and my attempt to change that has failed so I have come to the grounds of assistance, I would like to know how to get a little fancy picture for my future posts!

Near the "Wiki" button should be a "Forum Preferences"
Click this and look for the "edit" button (it should be below the "Home" button)
Scroll down to choose an avatar, language, and time zone.
