I notice that freeze tend to be useful on fire levels. And fire tend to be useful on freeze levels.
This always happens? There's an advantage based on special conditions? If there's a advantage, how it occurs to the others status?(curse, poison, stun, shock)

Just curious.

Nope lol. All defenses are monster specific-

So all wolvers are weak to stun, and all wolvers resist shock. Similarly, fire zombies resist freeze despite being fire themed, and freeze working extremely well on them strategically... it just works a lot less well than it could.

slimes

Fire can melt ice jellies, and freeze can extinguish oilers. Oh, and shock can activate quicksilvers. Other than those examples, I'm not sure what you could be talking about. Sorry.

I'm speaking about strategic purpose

Maybe it's just me. I'll try to explain.
When fire themed enemies are freezed on fire themed level, the fire appears to be a lower treat, maybe because the enemies are imobilized, so they can't turn on you and cause fire, allowing you to hit them more carefully and better.
When freeze themed enemies are burned, the freeze appears to be a lower treat too. Maybe it occurs because the enemies are burning, so they are taking damege overtime, so they take damage even when you are freezed.

@Bopp
I'm trying to see, if using a certain status in a level would always give strategical advantage over the level. Something like: freeze have advantage over fire levels, fire have advantage over freeze levels, stun have advantage over shock levels, etc.

@Fehzor
I think you got that I meant the strategic purpose of a status and answered my question. Thanks.

If a status works well on a monster then it works well on that monster strategically, most of the time. A good example of this is fire vs zombies. Zombies are not particularly prone to fire in their attack patterns, they have high health etc. but since they have weakness to fire, ash of agni suddenly becomes a pretty incredible way of dealing with them.
