I've been wanting to get this off my chest for a long time, so I will do just that in this thread.
Ever since SK has become plain boring due to update deficiency (:P), I have longed to make a game of my own.
I will not start working on the game until I have reached the required skill level for making a decent game but I will post the ideas and plot of the game on this thread.
==PLOT==
(This is my first time telling a story so don't expect me to shit gold)
It has taken only 2 weeks for the Empire's latest warship "Omnilith" to locate the "wormhole" planet that has been absorbing all sorts of matter. What triggered the Empire to seek this planet was it's ability to switch states from solid to gaseous(as the witnesses describe it) and that the planet was not affected by gravitational forces.
The "Omnilith" approaches the planet, weapons ready and engines prepared to 'kick' in case of an ambush. However, what the crew of the warship did not realize was that the planet had already sealed the ship's fate from the moment it entered it's orbit. The warship was bound to crash on the planet's surface while the crew's minds were being emptied from all their memories.
The crew wake up after an unknown length of time no longer the ones they were before the crash. They remember nothing, their faces no more, their skin now either red or blue from which emanates an aura pleasant only to their own kind and unpleasant to the other color. Still in their places, wary of the other skin but remaining in place as if ordered to, the ex-crew along with the other unknown blues finally move as they remember a feeling natural to any being, hunger. They emerge from the ship to find that the world the sought in their previous life was filled with more spaceships of other civilizations(modern and ancient). None of them would be considered wreckage as they all appeared to have landed but abandoned since then. This is where your destiny starts(if the game had been released that is).
==IDEAS==
Sorry about the mess.
Races:
1-Red ones (Exiled form: Human)
2-Blue ones(Exiled form: Genie/Jinn)
Red ones excel at strength. Their exiled forms are more vulnerable but they can endure the most(making them fast builders and can last long in combat).
Blue ones have much more advanced technology and their exiled forms are capable of shapeshifting and fast travel but they can't cause direct harm to humans and are naturally unseen by humans(they can reveal themselves). They can neither build nor terraform, but they can live in the skies or waters(they can walk on water).
Progress:
1-There will be a unique character progression skill tree.
-there will be two progress skill trees, one for physical progress(strength,flexibility,etc.) and the other for mental(furthering progress in this field will grant more complex and rewarding abilities)
-The higher the progress in the physical skill tree, the character will have more overall strength. A character with a 100% progress will advance 75% more slowly until he/she reaches 125% after which it will slow to 90% till the strength has finally reached 150% which is going to be the maximum possible.
-Progress is made by investing skill points in the skill tree.
-Players can choose their starting strength/intelligence from 0 to 100%. Doing so means you sacrifice skill points for a starting bonus. This will also modify the character's physical appearance differently from the usual strength progression(adds bulk).
2- Auras
-Players will have auras as long as they are either on the red side or blue side and are not exiled.
- Auras will keep players from dying.
- Death in-game will delete your account permanently, players can resurrect the lost character's stats(other players can loot everything except the aura) by going back to the location of death and returning it to a well of souls or something(there will be penalties to the skills and progress).
3- Aura Modification will become available as progress is made.
- Players can add "taste or scent"(I don't know which to call it) to their aura which will enhance certain aspects of the game. Some examples are:
- "taste/scent of nature" - Allows players to use natural objects to their advantage(to a certain limit).
- "taste/stench of death" - Allows players to use rotting materials to their advantage(most rewarding but most difficult to use).
I may add illustrations to describe some of points better.
There is so much to write about that I have either skipped some points in some features due to no good way of describing it or I have forgotten about them and I may or may not update on this(unless it's progress on the game and not ideas about it).
As for the possible names I have planned:
1 - Gyro knights.
2 - Soldiers of Aurock.
