Hello everyone, since I'm bored and got nothing to do I decided to start a thread serie called: Synergy List.

The idea is pretty simple, I'll post a thread about a weapon (in this case "Electron Vortex") and then write down a list of weapons that work well with the one mentioned in the title aswell as giving some pros and cons to every weapon listed, after which everyone can do the same and list weapons they believe work well with the one discussed and give out opinions on the other weapons already discussed and I'll add them to the first post.
If the idea takes off I might continue this serie of threads with more weapons, everybody's opinion is appreciated so feel free to add to the discussion without fear!

List of items that have a good Synergy with Electron Vortex:

Swords:

Divine Avenger (charge attack)
Pros:
-Insane damage
Covers almost all of the Vortex area
-Same damage type.

Cons:
-Huge knockback will throw enemies all around the place
-Can't be used from a safe distance if you want maximum damage
-Tricky to use before the Vortex explosion without CTR VH or higher due to the slow animation

Sudaruska (charge attack)
Pros:
- Sudaruska charge gives powerful burst damage pretty much equally to all monsters in its range (whereas brandish/DA have a smaller sweetspot range).
- If you time the charge to happen around the same time the vortex explodes, the shock trigger will prevent some enemies from launching out (and also possibly prevent non-shocked enemies from launching as well), giving you a free normal attack to use.

Cons:
- Normal damage, doesn't do especially good vs anything, but does decently against everything.
-The normal attack after charging may leave you exposed to enemy hits since it's very slow

Guns:

Neutralizer/Biohazard
Pros:
- With max CTR, you can single-charge detonate twice before the vortex explodes, then do some more charges to finish off stragglers. Area of effect weapons do especially well the more monsters you get into their range. Remember to tag the monsters on the right side of the group if you're doing instant detonation (the orb will move counter clockwise into the center of the group, which lets you hit the most that you can).
- You can also pre-set a single enemy with a bunch of charges BEFORE the vortex pulls everything in, then detonate it for an instant kill on all of them.

Cons:
- If you do the "enemy bomb" approach, takes a lot of setup. Possibly works better when the catalyzer and bomber are two different people.
- Works especially well with a lot of monsters, but when there are a few, the rotation might make the tagged enemies move out of the way, leading to unfulfilling normal damage.

Tortofists
Pros:
- Charge attack a tortofist and launch it into vortex's circle before it starts to pull enemies in, and the landing + spike damage from the tortofist will be amazing.
Cons:
- Impossible to pull off alone: you need a teammate in order to get this to work.
- Invincitinks (from the spike hazard) will happen after enough hits on the same enemies, so you may need to do normal attacks to finish things off.

Bombs:

Dark Retribution
Pros:
-Amazing DPS on packed up enemies
-Can be used from a safe distance
-Gets the same benefits as Vortex from gear and trinkets that enhance bombs

Cons:
-May not hit all enemies inside the Vortex
-Long duration makes it possible for enemies to escape before the bomb dealt full damage
-Different damage type.

You could also use it with

You could also use it with the AoA for dual status, this combo wrecks enemies and large masses of monsters.

Any Brandish charge also is great with the bomb, as well as a teammate who like to spam Antigua/autogun/tortogun charges (alchemers are iffy, they can work real good or barely at all), other guns that have powerful knockback not so much.

Neutralizer/BiohazardPros:-

Neutralizer/Biohazard

- Invincitinks (from the spike hazard) will happen after enough hits on the same enemies, so you may need to do normal attacks to finish things off.

Troika line
Pros:
- Troika charge gives powerful burst damage pretty much equally to all monsters in its range (whereas brandish/DA have a smaller sweetspot range).
- Normal attacks are slow, so if you go with the normal-slash route, you won't do so well.

Sealed Sword line
Pros:
- Charge (already mentioned above) gives powerful burst damage and 'piercing' (multi-enemy/hit) extra damage.
- Normal attacks actually may work better with Vortex: use slash1 to swipe 3-4 enemies in the vortex before the pull starts, then once the pull starts, combo away. You can interrupt attacks and your slash2
Cons:
- Charge may cause some enemies to ride out of vortex.

Voltaic Tempest
Pros:
- Forest of enemy shocks - one of the fastest "DPS" bomb-only combinations I've seen.
- Works better with lots of enemies.
Cons:
- Bomb-only, doesn't finish as quickly as cross-weapon combinations
- Doesn't work at all on shock-immune monsters.
-----------

PS:

@ seiran

I would have mentioned VT but if you really want more DPS get an Obsidian Crusher or even a Graviton (to pair with the VT), using a dual shock bomb set is a bit limiting.

im vohtarak, call me by that name

an antigua gun charge goes great through a vortex
blitz can be useful, but not always
warmaster rocket hammer does well, but watch out for abstracting enemy rotating to you
winmillion, in theory I think it would be good, but never tried it

I'd say something but I'm a bit too lazy and Seiran already nailed it.
Electron Vortex + Sudaruska = <3

I think you actually meant

I think you actually meant synergy https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=define+synergy

Vortex and the maskeraith ultimate that drops little AOE bomblets is excellent for spreading poison to a group of enemies.

Shock brandish charge works well with vortex because the shock ticks happen every time their inflicted to each enemy, and the bundled enemies shock eachother.

Triglav pairs well because the bomb explosion frees frozen enemies, or the freeze keeps enemies in place to get hit by the bomb as well.

Flourish normal swings hit multiple enemies in their swing range, so you can scoop them all up in a circle and get a few hits in while their trying to target you.

Updated the first post, I'd

Updated the first post, I'd like to get more infos about some of the weapon discussed by you guys before as I don't have them and can't test myself to provide a detailed list of pros and cons.

Namely:
-Brandishes (all of them separately)
-Antigua line (again, separately)
-Triglav

I'll add Flourish, blitz and rocket hammarrr after I do a bit of testing to see how they fare.

...

the question is more like... which weapon does not benefit that much from electron vortex? I couldn't think any weapon beside shivermist buster (it counteracts vortex), the rest should get damage boost alright. Also, the most awesome vortex combo I've seen is someone trapped himself at the center of vortex surrounded by zombies and release nova driver charge killing those. (still couldn't find the video post)

@Poopsie

Shiver works fine with vortexes, actually. You just place the shiver after the vortex and you get a neat little sub-zero package of enemies.

After a few tests and

After a few tests and thoughts I decided to reduce the list to only the best of the best since as Poopsie pointed out, pretty much every weapon will have some level of synergy with vortex, as for Hammer, Blitz and Flourish, after some testing I assessed that they're nothing great and not worth adding to the list.
I'm currently in the making of a Glacius so bear with me for a while, I'll get some specific results about it soon.
I also would like to renew my request, if someone could share a bit of detailed insight about any of the brandishes it'd be appreciated.

tested a hammer (leveled) in vana and it absolutely wrecked through a vortex (a 4* version)
it definitely does well, its just the way you need to use it

It doesn't do bad but not

It doesn't do bad but not good enough to be put in the list imo, the normal combo deals its fair share of damage but puts you in a very bad position most of the time leaving you open for attacks or even worse launching you inside the vortex.

As for the charge attack the damage is nothing great unless you can chain both hits and you'll hardly manage to do that on more than 1-2 enemies inside the vortex, ultimately there are far better options to use vortex with.

If you could provide me with some better ways to use it please tell me, I'll gladly give it another run.

the swing and dash of the combo usually do best ( make sure theyre not aggroed to you) if you still have an opening go in for the final swing (but I hav asi med on it so im not sure how it does normally)
