4* Gear Check questions
Hi i came back from a long break from SK, and have a few questions.
Im currently stuck on 4* gear check.
I got 4* weapon as i got 2 orbs as mission awards and bought 1.
My question is about the orbs. Should I just stick to crown farming in RJP, and then trade it for orbs ?
Or is there a better way for get them orbs (aside from paying cash).
Tbh i havent dropped a single 4* orb, droped few 3* and a 1* but tht doesnt help ^_^.
Also im going for a swordsman build - is still Ash tail set good or should i build different armor/helm ?
And lastly i have a question bout the swords currently im running faust, but tbh it doesnt suit my playstile, its really slow,
should i change for brandish path as its quicker ?
Tht should be it, will be delighted for any kind of info :). Thx in advance.
Thank you for the info, im really greatfull.
One last question is about obsidian weapons, for now im just curious, but i cant seem to find any info about mission that allows to craft tht sweat gear.
Is it a prestige mission or event mission i just cant find it anywhere :/.
For now im gonna just go ash tail -> vog set to farm up money in FSC.
Thanku you again for your time and help :)

From the Lost Soul (Merchant) page:
"This Lost Soul in the Obsidian Nexus and the Shroud of the Apocrea Departure exchanges special materials for Apocrean Sigils.
NOTE: All Material-based purchases from the Lost Soul Merchant for tokens are automatically bound upon purchase."
Are these the mats you are looking for?
Oh ok so its an Prestige mission well i think i know all i need to know for now thx again :)

Apocrea is a difficult event for unprepared knights, be sure to do some research.
Your Ash Tail set can change to either increased sword damage or sword speed (which would help out your faust problem).
Depending on what you get you choice of swords can change. Speed lets you use slow swords much easier and boosts your fast swords even more. Damage means you won't go nearly as fast but if you plan right you can deal more damage. Considering that the last boss mission is loaded with fire you may want the Vog cub set.
For swords you can go with the general Acheron/Combuster or the Gran Faust/Divine avenger as well as the Flourish. These swords are considered the best in the game. Acheron/Combuster/DivineAvenger charges make for great damage and crowd control attacks while the standard combos of the Flourish and Faust swords hit hard.
Note: there are other elemental brandishes but the Combuster has the most reliable knockback and is easy to obtain.
On a side note you will need guns since you can't deal sword damage to Vanaduke in the later phases safely, the argent peacemaker and the Blitz needle are the most suggested guns. Alchemers are powerful guns if you aim the charge right but getting a charge through the Barriers in the end phases is almost as hard as hitting Vana with a sword.
My friend plays as a gunner and we mostly play in duo so for now im gonna stick with swords. And yes i was thinking about combuster, i dont really like freeze or shock debufs. Thank u for more tips:) Is there any benefit in joining a guild or is it just a social factor ?

That's a great choice. The other great choice is Warmaster Rocket Hammer, but that requires you to save up a bunch of energy (or real money) to buy Operation Crimson Hammer.

A guild is basically an extended friend list. Some guilds also have nice guild halls with special training rooms and other nice features. So it is definitely not essential that you join a guild. On the other hand, there's no reason not to. (Don't join a guild that requires an entry fee or a weekly fee.) Guildmates can help you form parties, give you advice, have friendly conversations, etc.

It really depends on the guild... some are greedy and want you to donate lots of stuff even if you are a low ranked knight, some focus on PVP and don't really take time to help out the lower ranked guildmates, then some (like Goldilocks and the 3 Gremlins) are just perfect.
Stupid references aside it is your guildmates that are often the ones more ready to help you out.

arcade usually gets an orb or two
i would think try getting one vog piece one skolver
im in a guild called ominous and would be happy to recruit you, im usually bored out of my mind so ill be able to help (unless im in a seerus run, i never leave those)
in game name is Vohtarak, but you need to answer a few questions before u can join, Ill tell you if your interested, send a mail if you want (fortunately, one of the requirements is helping guildmates in need if you can)

As the posts above said, guilds are a way to socialize and to get help, make friends or to participate in guild vs. guild. While in one, you may find friends and form "bonds" even if you decide to leave the current guild.

Yes, you should continue to farm for crowns, use them to buy energy, and use the energy to buy orbs.

I have a detailed sword guide for people in your situation. Check out the armor section. Yes, the Ash Tail line is still great, but consider also Chaos. Brandish swords are much easier to use than Sealed swords, and frankly more powerful in almost all situations. Check out the other sections of my guide for in-depth comparisons with data.
Welcome back to the game.
